The range consists of 32 shooting lanes equipped with 25-yard target retrieval systems. Unlike many ranges that use evaporative cooling systems, our entire range is air-conditioned. This provides a stable climate controlled shooting environment year round. We have spared no expense to make your range day enjoyable. Our targets are adjustable to digital precision, which eliminates the guess work on setting your target distance. We have also eliminated the biggest complaint indoor shooters have - the static target. While we recognize the importance of square range practice, we also know shooters need something different and more challenging at times. Our target system is capable of a variety of movements such as charging, retreating, or facing and edging on timed intervals. To enhance the safe, comfortable and open feeling, Scottsdale Gun Club has installed Level 3 ballistic glass panels between each of our shooting lanes. 7 CONCEALED WEAPONS PERMIT CONCEALED WITH CURVES Our CCW class is offered in four hour and eight hour formats. To accommodate everyone s schedule for this popular class, it is available multiple times each month on weekdays and weekends! Are you ready to start carrying a firearm? When it comes to carrying a concealed firearm, the options for a woman can be more challenging. Learn basic gun handling, care, holster selection, and legal ramifications regarding the use of deadly force in Arizona. While not required by the state, this class can t be missed if you carry a firearm. Packed full of useful information to get you in the right mindset while carrying a pistol. Led by interactive, friendly instructors, you will become a more confident and informed responsible citizen. This course covers all aspects of women carrying a firearm for protection. 8 LADIES OF LIBERTY Time to gather, bond, and learn! Ladies of Liberty is a class tailored specifically for women with little or no shooting experience. This is your opportunity to learn, ask questions, and bond in a judgment free setting. The shooting and handling of firearms is an empowering and exciting experience. Women completing this course will walk away with confidence and knowledge to competently handle and operate a handgun. Firearms and ammunition are provided. After the classroom and practical portion of the course has been completed, a female instructor will conduct an open forum Q&A session to answer any questions you may have regarding the shooting sports and other appropriate topics. Participants will also receive a Thank You gift bag stuffed with goodies from several SGC industry partners. FREE FAMILY FIREARM SAFETY Whether in your home or someone else s, you simply won t be there 100% of the time. Everyone should know what to do if they encounter a firearm! The Family Firearms Safety course is designed for the family with children that has firearms or is thinking about introducing firearms into the home. This program teaches children what to do when they encounter a firearm. It also gives the adults options for purchasing, introducing, and storing firearms in the home. 9 YOUTH INTRO TO FIREARMS Looking to get your little ones started correctly when it comes to firearm safety and shooting? This is it! This class is an excellent introduction to shooting for the youngsters. They will learn gun safety, the fundamentals of shooting, and get some practical time on the range with NRA certified instructors. This class familiarizes young adults with the four basic firearm systems; revolver, semi-auto pistol, long gun, and shotgun. We will cover the basics and operation of each system. In addition to class lecture, you will have several hours of practical experience on the range with each type of firearm, solidifying the new information you learned! 11 SGC BASIC PISTOL DEFENSIVE HANDGUN SERIES Want to become a well-rounded handgun owner? Want to start off your handgun journey with a good foundation? This class is for you! Handguns are fun to shoot, but they are also a great self defense tool. Our series of Defensive Handgun classes will guide you through four different levels, advancing your skillset along the way. Attend just one class or take all four to take your handgun shooting skills to levels most never attempt. The SGC Basic Pistol course is a 6 hour course that covers all of the basics of purchasing, owning, operating, maintaining, and cleaning a handgun. In addition to extensive classroom time, you will have several hours on the range to practice your shooting skills. This class is ideal for the first timer or novice shooters of all ages (minimum age of 12), or for anyone wanting to build a good foundation of firearms knowledge. Getting even more advanced, Phase 3 gets into using low light tools such as lights and lasers, and walks you through various threat/non-threat scenarios. Finally, Phase 4 gets you moving! This final course is held down range where you ll be moving, shooting, working with obstacles, and more! 12 DEFENSIVE SHOTGUN BASIC CARBINE The shotgun is a gun of many uses, and in skilled hands it becomes even more versatile. Join the ranks of experienced shotgun handlers! This class gives you a proper introduction to the long gun, keeping you from creating bad habits that are hard to break. Defensive Shotgun is a fun beginner s course that teaches you how to be in complete control of one of the most versatile firearms available. This class will cover the presentation, shooting, reloading, manipulation, and ammunition selection for the shotgun. We will also demonstrate the effective distances for this classic weapon. This class is suited for the first time shotgunner as well as the defense oriented shooter. The Carbine 1 is a two day class designed to give the beginning shooter a thorough introduction to the AR-15/AK-47 rifle platform. Other carbines of similar style are also welcome. This class will take the beginning shooter into the intermediate level. Completion of this course will qualify the student for a Tactical Qualification rating on the range. 13 NRA PISTOL INSTRUCTOR REALTOR SAFETY SEMINAR If you ve ever been interested in becoming an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, now s your chance! Upon successful completion of this class you will be certified to instruct NRA Basic Pistol courses. The mere nature of the real estate business puts agents at risk on a daily basis. Real Estate professionals are a prime target for criminals. This class is packed with tips on how to minimize your risk. If you are 21 years of age or older and have the knowledge, skills and attitude, you now have the opportunity to become an NRA Certified Instructor. The NRA is looking for new instructors who enjoy working with people and want to share their firearm knowledge and skills with others. The premise of this class is to educate people in the real estate business to the dangers of meeting strangers in secluded areas with little or no information about the person or the area of the meeting.
