3 Indian Recreation Club Invitation Triples 218 Monday, 1 October, 218 The annual Indian Recreation Club Invitation Triples will be held on Monday, 1 October, 218 at IRC this year. A total of 48 teams have entered for the tournament, including 9 host teams. The first match will start at 9. a.m. All teams are required to report to the duty umpire 15 minutes before each match. Duty umpires are Edward Ma, Gordon Ng and Charles Leung in the morning session; and C.S. Suen, Edward Ma and Sheron Chan in the afternoon session. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, courtesy of IRC. Breakfast will be served between 8.45 a.m. and 1. a.m. Players are advised to have their lunch during their byes. A prize presentation dinner party will be held immediately after the finals. All players are cordially invited by IRC to join. Conditions of Play: 1. Two-bowl triples ends per match; 3. Two game points for a win and one point for a tie for Sectional Qualifying matches. In the event of a tied match in the Knock-out Stage, an extra end will be played. In the case of a walk-over, two points and 9 shots will be awarded to the opponents. 4. After the completion of the Sectional Qualifying stage, all teams will be ranked in the order of:- a) Higher number of Game Points; b) Higher number of Shots Difference (Total Shots For minus Total Shots Against); c) Higher number of Shots For; d) Toss of coin. The top 24 ranked teams will qualify for the Knock-out Stage and be allocated to different sections, namely Cup, Plate, Bowl, Spoon, Fork and Knife according to the sections table. 5. Within each Knock-out section, the highest ranked team will play the lowest ranked team and the remaining two teams will play each other as Semi-finals. The two winning teams will advance to the of their section. 6. No trial end. 7. No visit to the head. 8. Any team which burns the jack will be penalized with 2 shots added to its opponents for that end. The end will be counted as a played end. 9. Only one substitute per team is allowed in each match. A substitute is not allowed to be skip in any match irrespective of number of matches played. A minimum of two of the original players have to play in each match. No team can play with only two players in any match. 1. Transfer of players between teams is not allowed after the commencement of the tournament.
