Arkansas State opened the season with a win at home against Montana State... The Red Wolves hit the road for their next two contests as they faced SEC member Tennessee (L, 19-34, Sept. 6) and ACC member Miami (L, 20-41, Sept. 13)... Arkansas State evened their season record at 2-2 with an overtime win over Utah State on Sept The Red Wolves blocked a Nick Diaz 38-yard field goal attempt as time expired to force overtime... In the extra session, the Red Wolves got the ball first and scored in just two plays as Fredi Knighten connected with Dijon Paschal for a 24-yard TD that gave Arkansas State a lead... The defense forced Utah State to go four-and-out on its possession, giving the Red Wolves the overtime win. Quarterback Fredi Knighten has completed 81 of his 136 attempts for 792 yards and three scores... He has also rushed 64 times for 169 yards and two touchdowns... Johnston White leads the Arkansas State rushing attack as he has 237 yards on 48 carries with three rushing scores... Three different wide receivers have already recorded 100 or more yards this season... J.D. McKissic has caught 22 passes for 223 yards, while Tres Houston has 16 receptions for 164 yards followed by Darion Griswold s 134 yards on 10 catches... 3 #2013Rewind MONROE, La. -- In ULM s final home game of the 2013 season, the Warhawks fell to Arkansas State on Senior Night on Saturday evening at Malone Stadium. Rashon Ceaser highlighted the ULM (5-5, 3-2 SBC) offense with 118 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The sophomore from Clinton, La., caught five passes with a long of 59 yards which accounted for his first score. Kolton Browning threw for 191 yards and went 17-for-37 on the game. He tossed a pair of touchdowns and interceptions. Browning also rushed for a team-high 72 yards on 13 attempts. Defensively, Hunter Kissinger registered a career-high 13 tackles including a pair in the backfield. Cody Robinson and Gerrand Johnson also posted double-digits in tackles with 11 and 10, respectively. Cordero Smith tallied eight tackles and forced a fumble in the first quarter. Adam Kennedy led ASU (5-4, 3-1 SBC) with game-highs of 235 passing yards and 107 rushing yards. He went 16-for-23 in the air with a touchdown and ran for two scores. In the 2004 finale against UL-Lafayette (Nov. 20), Ragan Walters connected on a 37-yard field goal with seven seconds remaining to give the Warhawks a win over the Ragin Cajuns. #AirItOut ULM quarterback Pete Thomas completed 28 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Troy... Thomas finished the game against the Trojans with five passes of 20 or more yards, including a 64-yard pitch-and-catch with Ajalen Holley that put ULM ahead 10-0 with 5:54 to play in the opening quarter... Holley tied his career high with two receiving scores... Rashon Ceaser also got in on the action against Troy as the junior finished the game with a career-best 12 receptions and a season-high 121 yards. #TrojanTrouble Sophomore Ajalen Holley has enjoyed playing against Troy during the first half of his ULM career as he has tallied 183 receiving yards on just nine catches (20.3 ypc) and four touchdowns in two career games against the Trojans. In the win at Troy on Oct. 31, 2013, Holley finished the game with four grabs for 74 yards and two scores, including, a then-career-long TD reception of 60 yards, that gave ULM a 7-0 lead... In the 2014 meeting against Troy (Sept. 27), Holley caught five passes for 109 yards and two touchdown receptions... His career-long reception of 64 yards gave ULM a 10-0 lead with just under six minutes to play in the opening quarter. #ClimbingTheCharts Senior Justin Manton connected on his 17th career field goal in the third quarter to put ULM on the board in the season opener against Wake Forest (Aug. 28)...
