GEORGIA ULM and Georgia will meet for the fourth time on the gridiron as the two teams open up their 2015 seasons on Saturday... Kickoff between the Warhawks and the Bulldogs is slated for Noon (ET) and the game will be broadcasted on the SEC Network... Saturday s game in Athens, Ga., marks the fourth trip to Sanford Stadium for the Warhawks and first since the 2005 season... Georgia leads the series, 3-0, after wins in 1994, 1997 and SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS Georgia posted a 10-3 record a season ago, including a 6-2 mark in Southeastern Conference play... In non-conference play, the Bulldogs were 4-1 as they picked up wins over Clemson, Troy, Charleston Southern and Louisville (Belk Bowl)... The squad s only non-conference loss came in the regular season finale against Georgia Tech. Nick Chubb is the team s leading returning rusher as he totaled 1,547 yards on 219 attempts a season ago... He found the endzone 14 times and averaged yards per game... Brice Ramsey is Georgia s top returning passer as he tallied 333 yards behind a 24-of-39 effort in eight games... He finished with three touchdown passes and two interceptions... Malcolm Mitchell enters the season as the top returning receiver after hauling in 31 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns. On defense, Jordan Jenkins (the top returning tackler) finished third on the team with 70 total tackles... He was second on the team in 2014 in both tackles for loss (9.5) and sacks (5.0)... Marshall Morgan returns after leading the team in scoring in He tallied 115 points after hitting 67 of 68 PATs and 16 of 21 FGs. ULM is one of two Sun Belt Conference programs that will play in Athens, Ga., this season as Georgia Southern makes the trek to Sanford Stadium on Nov The Warhawks are also the first of two Louisiana programs that will play at Georgia this season as Southern University will play at Georgia on Sept. 26. Ole Miss; 3/15 (AM) def. Kentucky; 3/15 (PM) def. Mississippi State; 3/16 def. Arkansas) ROAD WARRIORS At a quick glance, it s not hard to notice the Warhawks play a total of 13 games this season... What may get overlooked is that ULM plays a total of eight games away from the friendly confines of JPS Field at Malone Stadium... ULM is the only FBS program this season that will play a total of eight road games... Via Google Maps the distance from JPS Field at Malone Stadium to all eight road venues comes to a total of 8,612 miles and

3 that is just one direction -- double that amount and the round trip from ULM to each road venue comes to 17,224 miles. Not only do the Warhawks play a total of eight road games this season, they have a stretch in late October to early November where they play three consecutive conference games... The Warhawks open up the stretch with an October 24th contest at Idaho inside the Kibbie Dome... A week later, on Halloween, the Warhawks battle in-state rival UL Lafayette at Cajun Field... The three-game road stretch comes to a close on Nov. 7 with a Sun Belt tilt at Troy. The Warhawks are just one of four FBS programs to play three consecutive conference games away from home this season... Joining ULM on the list is fellow Sun Belt Conference member Arkansas State as well as Southeastern Conference members Arkansas and Florida... ULM is the only one to play three straight weeks in true road games... Arkansas State has a bye week during its three-game conference road stretch from Thursday, November 5th to Saturday, November 28th (Bye Week - November 21)... Arkansas and Florida each play three straight games away from home, but one of those is a neutral site game (Arkansas vs. Texas A&M, Arlington, Texas - Saturday, September 26th; Florida vs. Georgia, Jacksonville, Fla., Saturday, October 31). ZERO BACK-TO-BACK HOME GAMES ULM is one of six teams in FBS that will not play back-to-back home games this season and they are the only Sun Belt School on the list... Joining the Warhawks on the list are FIU, Middle Tennessee, San Diego State, UMass and Western Kentucky... UMass plays two games in its home state, but one is in Amherst vs. Kent State on Oct. 17, followed by a game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. on Oct. 24. RETURNING RECEPTIONS As a team, ULM enters the 2015 season with 340 total receptions, a mark that places them 12th among FBS schools... Among Sun Belt Conference members, only Arkansas State has more... Other FBS programs with 340 or more receptions entering the 2015 season are: Washington State, California, Cincinnati, North Carolina, Bowling Green, Colorado State, TCU, Arizona, Tulsa and Old Dominion. RECEPTION STREAKS ULM is just one of two FBS programs to enter the 2015 season with two players that have caught a pass in 18 (or more) consecutive games [California is the other]... The Warhawks are also the only team in the state of Louisiana as well as the Sun Belt to have a player on the list... Rashon Ceaser currently sits at 31 straight games with a reception (ranks fifth in FBS), while Ajalen Holley sits at 18 consecutive (tied for 21st in FBS). FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE Entering the 2015 season, ULM s Gerrand Johnson is just one of six players in the FBS ranks to have tallied 200 or more tackles in a career and 20 or more tackles for loss... Johnson is the only player from the Sun Belt Conference on the list and he is also the only defensive lineman to make up the group of six... The Rayville, La., native enters his final collegiate season with 200 tackles and 29.5 tackles for loss... The list was compiled by Art Chase, Asst. AD / External Affairs at Duke. GETTING TO THE QUARTERBACK In the 2014 season, the Warhawks tallied 36 total sacks, the most for the program during its time in the Sun Belt Conference (previous high 27, in 2009)... It was also the first time the Warhawks tallied 30 or more sacks in a single season since 1998 when the squad finished with 31 sacks... The sack total of 36 was also the most for the squad since the 1997 campaign when the Warhawks sacked the quarterback a total of 39 times. The Warhawks have also tallied at least one sack in 16 of their last 17 games dating back to the 2013 campaign; the only game in which ULM didn t record a sack in 2014 was on Nov. 8, 2014 at Appalachian State. QUARTERBACK HUNTERS Below is a year-by-year sack total since the Warhawks joined the Sun Belt Conference to start the 2001 season: Season Sacks Season Sacks Season Sacks Season Sacks DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS Among FBS programs that reside outside of the state of Texas, the Warhawks, with 37 players from Texas, rank tied for fourth nationally (w/ Tulsa)...
