His 175 receiving yards are the most in the Sun Belt this season and he is the first SBC wide receiver to tally 100+ receiving yards against a FBS opponent... Holley caught two passes on s first scoring drive including a 54-yard pass from Pete Thomas that set up the first score for the Warhawks... Less than three minutes later, Holley beat the Idaho secondary and hauled in a 58-yard TD reception to put ahead Late in the fourth quarter, Holley caught a 20-yard pass from Thomas giving the sophomore four receptions of 20 or more yards on the night. #DominatingD The defense limited Wake Forest to just 94 yards of total offense through the air and -3 on the ground... The Warhawk defense also stood tall and allowed the Demon Deacons to run just six of their 49 plays (12.2%) on the side of the all six of those plays came on

3 the same drive and it led to a Wake Forest field goal late in the first half... The attacking Warhawk defense also tallied eight tackles, including six sacks, and one pick six... Redshirt-Freshman Jacob Tyson led the way with two sacks (the first of his career)... Mitch Lane also came up big for the Warhawks as his 31-yard interception return for a score evened the game at with 4:02 to play in the 3rd quarter... The interception by Lane pushed s forced turnover streak to 27 straight games, a mark that ranks second nationally. #FacingWakeForestAgain Pete Thomas made his Warhawk debut against Wake Forest... The transfer from North Carolina State lined up under center against Wake Forest for the second consecutive season... Thomas completed 23 passes for 189 yards and rushed four times for 15 yards... Thomas nine-yard run up the middle put ahead with 3:37 to play and the Warhawks went on to claim the contest by the same margin. #ThomasTheEngineer Pete Thomas engineered a 12-play, 66-yard touchdown drive over a span of 5:47 to put ahead in the home opener against Wake Forest... It was Thomas run of nine yards that capped the drive and put the Warhawks ahead by seven... The game-winning drive by Thomas was the fifth of his collegiate career... He led on a six-play, 73 yard drive lasting 62 seconds that resulted in a one-yard Centarius Donald TD run with nine seconds to play. #NewTurfNewName Thanks to a generous donation of $450,000, the largest single gift in athletics history, the Warhawk football team is playing on brand new turf during the 2014 season... The donation from JPS Aviation/JPS Equipment Rental covered the cost of the new FieldTurf Revolution and for the donation, the name of the field will now be JPS Field at Malone Stadium... The length of the naming rights was set at a minimum of eight years... The new FieldTurf stretches wall-to-wall and totals 78,000 square feet... It is the same playing surface the Warhawks played on at Wake Forest in 2013 and other notable FBS schools that have the FieldTurf Revolution are: Louisville, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas, Texas Tech and Wisconsin...
