In her return to the court after sitting out the season with a foot injury, two-time All-Big 12 forward Kelsey Griffin scored all 13 of her points in the first half to lead NU to a halftime edge. Griffin finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal in just 18 minutes. She was 5-for-5 from the field, including a three-pointer, while making both of her free throws. Senior Nicole Neals pumped in a career-high 12 points, including a pair of three-pointers, while senior Cory Montgomery added 11 points and three boards. Senior Kala Kuhlmann, who made the first start of her career on her 22nd birthday, added nine points. Fellow senior Yvonne Turner added 14 points, five rebounds and three steals, while leading NU s three-point barrage with four triples. As a team, the Huskers knocked down 10 three-pointers on the night, including a career-high three three-pointers from Jessica Periago. The junior center from France tied her career best with 11 points, while adding four rebounds, an assist and a steal in just 14 minutes. She hit all four shots from the field. Dominique Kelley helped the Huskers get rolling early with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Catheryn Redmon added eight points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots.

Nikki s hometown of Murdock, Neb., has a population of Her sister, Megan, is the starting setter for the Creighton volleyball team. 3. Nikki has torn the ACL in each of her knees. She tore her left ACL as a high school senior, before tearing her right ACL in practice on Dec. 30, Nikki, whose nickname is Bobe or Bobes, lives with fellow Husker seniors Kelsey Griffin and Cory Montgomery. 5. Senior ( ) After a solid start to her senior season, Nikki Bober had another year cut short by a season-ending knee injury. Bober tore the ACL in her right knee on Nov. 17, just days after opening the season with eight points, four rebounds and two blocked shots in a season-opening win over Davidson on Nov. 13. Bober appeared in two games for the Huskers before injuring the same knee that knocked her out of Big 12 play during her junior season. She underwent surgery on her right ACL on Jan. 2, 2009, after injuring the knee in practice on Dec. 30, Bober is scheduled to undergo another ACL repair on her right knee on Dec. 21, 2009, which will be her fifth knee surgery since signing with the Huskers. She also tore her left ACL as a senior at Elmwood-Murdock High School. When healthy, the 6-4 center from Murdock, Neb. (pop. 266) has been a reliable contributor for the Huskers. She has played in 56 career games with one start as a junior against Southern Utah. Nikki loves Nebraska basketball, and she loves being part of this team, Nebraska Coach Connie Yori said. She s battled through four surgeries since we signed her, and she s still been a good teammate and come to work every day to get batter. Bober is scheduled to earn her bachelor s degree in management in May of Nebraska Career Bober appeared in Nebraska s first 12 games to open her junior season, before suffering a torn ACL in her right knee in practice on Tuesday, Dec. 30. She underwent surgery on Friday, Jan. 2, and missed the rest of the season. Bober made her first career start against Southern Utah on Nov. 22. She posted a season-high eight points along with a career-best seven rebounds in NU s win over the Thunderbirds. She matched her season best with eight points in NU s win over Long Beach State on Dec. 12. Bober played a major role defensively in NU s win over No. 24 Arizona State on Dec. 28. A reliable ball-handler and decision-maker, Neals has dished out 45 assists, while committing just 34 turnovers, including 21 assists and just 12 turnovers in Big 12 play. Freshman ( ) Freshman Lindsey Moore has stepped into Nebraska s starting five after earning Washington High School Player-ofthe-Year honors in The 5-9 guard out of Kentwood High School in Covington, Wash., produced a career-high 18-point effort against No. 13 Iowa State on Feb. 17, when she connected on a career-best four three-pointers. She has increased her season averages to 5.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while ranking fifth in the Big 12 with 4.4 assists per contest. Moore has also contributed 1.3 steals per game. Moore ranks third on NU s freshman assist chart (136) while becoming the first Husker since to record 100 or more assists in a season (LaToya Howell, 159; Kiera Hardy, 101). Williams, a 6-1 freshman forward from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., has appeared in 12 games, including three Big 12 contests and the quarterfinals of the 2010 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship against Kansas State.
