Senior Jennifer Hailey became the 20th member of the school s 1,000-point club by hitting the milestone exactly with 20 points in last Saturday s triumph over FGCU. New coaching staff addition ajoining the Charlotte coaching staff this season is Joanne Aluka-White, who spent the previous six seasons at FIU in the Sun Belt. aaluka-white competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics with Nigeria, leading the squad to the first victory by an African nation in the Games. ashe is a 2001 graduate of Middle Tennessee, where she earned Ohio Valley Freshman of the Year honors (prior to the school joining the Sun Belt) and finished with over 1,000 career points. ashe also played professionally, both domestically and overseas. In the US, she saw time with the Dallas Fury of the now defunct National Women s Basketball League. The coach of the Fury for the 2004 campaign was Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman.
