Oklahoma had not led since the first two minutes of the game before Manning put the Sooners ahead with a 3-pointer with 2:44 left. Gabbi Ortiz followed with another 3-pointer for Oklahoma with 1:10 left to make it 65-60, capping a 5-of-6 fourth-quarter effort from behind the arc by the Sooners. PREVIEWING IOWA STATE Iowa State, who knocked off then No. 22 Kansas State on Saturday, enters Wednesday's game with an 11-8 overall record and 2-6 mark in the league. The junior played a career-high 35 minutes at Texas off the bench, recording 16 points and seven rebounds. The Sapulpa, Okla., native followed that performance up with a 5-of-6 day from the free throw line against Oklahoma State last Sunday. Dungee is sixth in the Big 12 this season with a.818 free throw percentage. At point, Dungee had extended her streak to 18 consecutive free throws made, before missing her last shot at the line in fourth quarter. The Abilene, Texas, native is the seventh player in the last five seasons to tally 1,000 career points as a Sooner. ORTIZ FINDS HER RHYTHM Since her return to the starting lineup on Dec. 29 at Kansas, Gabbi Ortiz has provided the Sooners with a consistent scoring threat. The junior has scored 10-plus points in four of the last six contests. In OU's comeback win over Oklahoma State, Ortiz sealed the victory by burying a trey to give the Sooners a 5-point lead with 1:12 to play. Since the start of OU's Big 12 slate, Ortiz has continued to see her production increase. The Racine, Wis., native is averaging 9.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists over the last seven games. Ortiz leads the Big 12 with a.440 (11-of-25) 3-point shooting percentage. She also ranks seventh in the Big 12 in assists per game (3.9) during conference play. MULKEY IN THE MIDDLE Nancy Mulkey has provided the Sooners with a rim protector and quickly climbed OU's freshmen top-10 for blocked shots. Mulkey now ranks third among OU freshmen with 43 blocks this year. She needs just 11 more rejections to move into 10th on OU's single-season list for blocks. Among Division I freshman, Mulkey's 43 blocks rank second in the nation. Only Alabama's Ashley Knight (52) has more blocks than OU's freshman center.
