SUMMER SESSION NEWS
Our new Performance Incentive Scoring System greatly reduces the ability for a player to bang balls or to throw a game here and there to stretch out innings. This greatly decreases perception that a player is trying to cheat to hold their rating down. Honest players are no longer called sandbaggers attempted sandbagging is limited and everyone can have a more fun night out playing pool and socializing!
PLAYOFF & HIGH POINT FINISHER T-SHIRTS Feed Back / Questions? Different Color Each Session! Different Design Each Year Sizes Available Small 5X) Hope Everyone Loves The New Shirts Summer Color Charcoal Grey
HIGH POINT FINISHER T-SHIRTS (13-16 TEAM DIVISIONS) Please note that all High Point Finishing teams still receive patches, however only team divisions are awarded High Point Finisher T-Shirts. The reason they receive HPF T-Shirts is because they advance directly to the Tri-Cups and have no opportunity to win Divisional Champion T-Shirts. It s also harder to take 1 st place in our larger team divisions!
WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE TIER-1 & TIER-2 SEMI-FINALS PLAYED? Both Tier-1 and Tier-2 Semi Finals will be played on the same night of play. Home field advantage goes to the team that is higher in point standings (provided tables are available at their hosting location); otherwise matches are to be played at the opponent s hosting location. If tables are unavailable at the opponent s hosting location, we will schedule the match at one of the other taverns within the division; normally a tavern (with an available table) whose team finished higher in point standings. WHICH TEAMS PLAY IN THE SEMI-FINALS? Team Division... If your team finishes in 1 st place, you will advance directly to the Tier-1 Tri-Annual Championship. If your team finishes in 2 nd place, you will advance directly to the Tier-1 Finals (no Semi-Finals required). If you finish in either 3 rd or 4 th place, your team will play in the Tier-1 Semi-Finals (3 rd vs 4 th ). If your team finishes in either 5 th, 6 th, or 7 th place, or draws the Wildcard slot, your team will play in the Tier-2 Semi-Finals (5 th vs W.C th vs 7 th ) Team Division... If your team finishes in 1 st place, you will advance directly to the Tier-1 Finals (no Semi-Finals required). 24 SUDDEN DEATH IN 8-BALL AND 9-BALL Starting with the Summer Divisional Finals (held at the New Green Room), we will be implementing SUDDEN DEATH in both the NEW 3-Point 8-Ball Scoring System and in 9-Ball. SUDDEN DEATH in 8-BALL will be a race to 1... possibly 2 games based upon which team is in the lead going into sudden Death. Since there are different scenarios that could occur, we will send out a detailed flyer (with examples) later this session. SUDDEN DEATH in 9-Ball the current game will be finished in its entirety, with all balls pocketed in all subsequent games worth double points 2 points each for balls points for the 9-Ball. Sudden death is only being implemented for the Divisional Finals at the New Green Room (not at local Hosting Locations) and the Tri- Cups and National Qualifier.
