Class 2A (begins approximately 40 minutes following conclusion of previous game) Northwestern (24-2) vs. Winchester (22-4). Session II Class 3A at 6 pm ET Plymouth (24-2) vs. Evansville Bosse (22-4). Class 4A (begins approximately 40 minutes following conclusion of previous game) East Chicago Central (22-3) vs. North Central (Indianapolis) (21-4). WHERE: Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN, USA; Capacity: 18,345; This is the eighth year the IHSAA Boys Basketball State Finals have been played in this venue. TICKETS: Single Session $10.00 All Day $ Reserved tickets can be purchased at the participating schools the week of the state finals. Contact those schools for ticket distribution hours. Any remaining tickets will be available game day at the Conseco Fieldhouse ticket office. PUBLIC ENTRANCE: The public may enter from Pennsylvania Street or Delaware Street into a common lobby on the north side of Conseco Fieldhouse. Ticket office windows are located there. GATES OPEN: Conseco Fieldhouse will open its gates to fans beginning one hour prior to the start of each session -- 9:30 am ET and 5 pm ET. The venue will be cleared between the Class 2A and 3A games. PARKING: Visit TELEVISION: All four state championship games will be carried live statewide on cable via the Indiana Cable Network which consists of Comcast, Bright House Networks and Insight cable systems. A list of channels and markets are listed to the left. RADIO: The IHSAA / Methodist Sports Medicine Championship Radio Network will be broadcasting all four games to stations statewide. Markets and frequencies are listed on the next page. A complete listing will be posted to the IHSAA website later this week. CREDENTIALS: For media outlets intending to cover the state finals, please fax a credential request on company letterhead to IHSAA Sports Information Director Jason Wille at Please include the names of the working individuals representing your outlet. The deadline for requests is 4 pm ET on Wednesday, March 21. No credentials will be granted after that time. Approved requests will be available for pickup inside the media entrance on game day. Please have identification available. Credentials will not be mailed. MEDIA PARKING: There is no designated parking area for media for this event though there are numerous parking options within a short distance of Conseco Fieldhouse. For a map, visit MEDIA ENTRANCE: To gain admittance, the IHSAA Boys Basketball State Finals Media Media Credential is required. The entrance is on the southeast side of Conseco Fieldhouse adjacent to Delaware Street. The door is marked for Media and Employees and is located at the opposite end of the building from the public entrance. Please allow a few extra minutes to pass through security. MEDIA WORKROOM: As in previous years, the media workroom at Conseco Fieldhouse will be open all day and be available to working media members. The work area contains wireless internet access as well as complimentary phones that will accept credit card and 800 calls. Soft drinks and snacks will be available. SEATING: Except where designated phone lines are marked for specific media outlets, an open seating policy is used on the west side of Conseco Fieldhouse. RESULTS & STATISTICS: Both will be posted to the IHSAA website as soon as possible after the game. Stats and box scores will be distributed at the end of each quarter on press row as well as in the media work room. LOCKER ROOM ACCESS: No one except tournament workers and team coaches and participants will have access to the inner hallways where locker rooms are located. NO CHILDREN, PLEASE: With the exception of high school students representing their school s newspaper, yearbook, radio or television station, and who have a team participating, no young people or children will be issued media credentials or be allowed in the working media area. LIVE TELEVISION CUT-INS: Spot news reports showing live game action are prohibited. Standup reports for newscasts are permitted from inside the building provided that no live action is shown. POST-GAME GUIDELINES With the exception of the IHSAA s Championship Radio and Television networks, and its official photographer (Visual Sports Network), all media members are asked to remain off the playing floor and behind the ropes during the post-game awards ceremonies. The post-game ceremonies order will be as follows: Mental Attitude Award presentation Runner-Up medals and trophy presentation Championship medals and trophy presentation Team Photographs by Visual Sports Network Following the Class A, 2A and 3A awards ceremonies, coaches and selected players will be escorted to the Media Interview Room for a formal press conference which is located on playing floor level just off the media entrance elevator. We ask your assistance to use the press conference as the appropriate time to conduct interviews. The runner-up team coach and selected players will go first followed by the championship team coach and players. Because of newspaper deadline issues at the end of the 4A contest, no press conference will be scheduled and news media will be allowed to conduct interviews on and around the floor after the awards ceremonies. For those working on deadline, the IHSAA will distribute quick quotes in the media work room taken from the IHSAA Television and Radio Network interviews as soon as possible after the game. INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITY WITH PLAYERS AND COACHES: The IHSAA has partnered with Olive Garden, which has invited all eight state finalist teams to dine in their Indianapolis-area restaurants for a pre-game dinner preceding the state finals. Media is invited to attend and interview the players and coaches at the team dinners. An alert with times and locations will be issued by Olive Garden this week. With a victory, Oregon-Davis would become the first school to win a girls and boys basketball state championship in the same school year. The girls team defeated Oakland City Wood Memorial, 54-46, to win the Class A title on March 3. Oregon-Davis is the fifth school to have both its girls and boys basketball teams advance to the state finals (Marion 1980, Anderson 1990, Bedford North Lawrence 1990, Bloomfield 1998). All five starters return from last year s 23-4 team last in overtime to Tri-Central in the semi-state game vs. Class A opponents this year; 4-1 vs. larger class opponents. Won Northland Conference championship with 5-0 record. Bobcats have won 13 straight games to this point. Vikings Notes Ranking: Class A No. 4 by AP; Unranked by Coaches Poll. Second state championship game appearance in six years for Barr-Reeve. Vikings were 2002 Class A state runner-up to Rossville. Josh Pielemeier hit two three-pointers in overtime and Ethan Knepp added a third lifting Barr-Reeve to its second win of the year over Lanesville in Saturday s semi-state game. Barr-Reeve limiting opponents to 40.9 ppg which ranks eight-best in the state this year. Three starters return from last season s team that finished vs. Class A opponents this year; 5-1 vs. larger class opponents. Tied for third place in Blue Chip Conference this season with 6-3 record. Justin Egger scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures in the team s victory over Lafayette Central Catholic in the semi-state game. Only six Bobcats played in the contest.
