1 NEED TO KNOW TODAY Opening Night The P-Bruins are one of only two AHL franchises (Hershey) who can boast 21 playoff appearances over the last 26 seasons. Last season, McIntyre became the first P-Bruin ever to lead the AHL in shutouts (7). He is two shutouts away from tying Tim Thomas and Hannu Toivonen s Providence record of 11 shutouts wearing the Spoked P. McIntyre is also six wins from tying John Grahame s franchise record with 67 victories in net. This is the first time since 2012 that Providence will play without former team captain Tommy Cross in their organization. If Szwarz has a 20-goal season, he will be the fifth player in team history with three 20+ goal seasons in a Providence uniform (Cameron Mann, Sergejs Zoltoks, Andy Hilbert and Craig Cunningham). Five former P-Bruins from last year s team have moved on to other NHL/AHL teams during the offseason: Tommy Cross (CBJ), Austin Czarnik (CGY), Kenny Agostino (MTL), Colton Hargrove (TEX) and Jordan Binnington (STL). Seven members of last year s team have signed overseas for the season: Paul Postma, Justin Hickman, Adam Payerl, Sena Acolatse, Ben Marshall, Taylor Doherty and Matt Ginn.
