A Rivalry is Born: For the first time since the days of the International Hockey League, Cincinnati and Indianapolis will go head-to-head on the ice as the Cyclones and Fuel open a nine-game season series at U.S. Bank Arena. Of those nine meetings, just three (including tonight) will be in Downtown Cincinnati. Scouting the Fuel: Scott Hillman s club has gotten plenty of ice time to start its first ECHL season, skating in eight games to date. Thus far though, they ve had their growing pains as they ve gone out of the gate. Robert Czarnik currently paces the Fuel with seven points (5g, 2a) in as many games while Patrick Cullen and Rhett Bly have contributed six points apiece. Former Miami University goaltender Cody Reichard has seen the most action between the pipes, going with a 2.75 goals-against average. Chicago Blackhawks prospect Mac Carruth has also seen a pair of games, losing both in the extra session with a 3.78 GAA. About Last Saturday Night in Quad City: A four point night for forward Andrew Yogan highlighted a strong showing by the Cyclones as they defeated the Mallards by a 5-4 final score in front of 4,126 at the iwireless Center. In addition to Yogan s offensive night, Michael Neal, Stephan Vigier, Joe Basaraba, and Josh McFadden all registered multi-point games. Goaltender Sam Brittain made 27 saves to earn his second straight victory. About Last Friday Night in Quad City: A two point night from Joe Basaraba and Josh Shalla, along with a 20-save performance from Sam Brittain, helped the Cyclones claim a 3-2 win over the Mallards in front of 2,422 at the iwireless Center. About Oct. 25 vs. Kalamazoo: Curtis Valk s three-point night led the Wings past the Cyclones by an 8-2 final score in front of 5,855 at U.S. Bank Arena. Wade Megan and Andrew Yogan each scored goals in the defeat.

Against Quad City, the Florida Panthers draft pick notched back-to-back multi-point games and leads the Cyclones with eight tallies (3g, 5a) in his first four contests. Yogan s Heroes: Forward Andrew Yogan has continued his point-pergame ECHL pace this season.
