9 Scope of Services: The purpose of this survey was to determine the physical condition and approximate market value of this vessel. This survey DOES NOT address the vessel s stability characteristics, inherent defects or internal condition of machinery. Operation of AC and DC electrical systems was conducted to verify basic operation of those systems as specifically listed in this report. No reference or information in this report should be construed to indicate compliance of any equipment, to include propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery and electronics, with manufacturers published specifications. This vessel was surveyed without removal of parts, to include fittings, plumbing, wiring, casings, tacked carpeting, fastened panels, anchors and rode, fixed partitions, sheathing, joiner work, deck covering, instruments, clothing, provisions, spare parts and miscellaneous materials in bilges and lockers, or permanently or semi-permanently installed items. Locked or otherwise inaccessible areas may also have prevented inspection. Defects and/or deficiencies in areas not accessible may exist. This survey report is intended to represent the condition of the vessel only on the date of the survey, based on the facts presented and discovered, and is the unbiased OPINION of the undersigned surveyor. This report does not specify or imply any type of warranty of the vessel or the vessel s equipment. 10 The above captioned vessel was surveyed while on a trailer ashore at The Boat Connection, 71 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Fl. And during sea trial on Lake Osborne, West Palm Beach, Fl. on Monday, October 28, This survey is intended to be used as a BUYER S PRE-PURCHASE SURVEY. The vessel was found to be basically sound and well maintained. All machinery and equipment has been installed in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) standards as well as USCG and CFR regulations. Ventilation throughout this vessel is considered adequate with natural and forced ventilation supplied to the engine compartment. As far as could be determined, all circuits are protected from overload at the main electrical panels located in the Main Cabin, portside at the entrance to the Mid-Cabin, and in the port, aft locker in the cockpit. The interior of the hull was inspected, where accessible, and all areas were found to be basically sound and in good condition at this time. There was no loose or fractured fiberglass tabbing found at any accessible panel, partition, bulkhead, or longitudinal member. Underwater thru hull fittings were inspected and appear to be in good condition, where accessible. Inspection of the vessel s deck and superstructure was conducted and all areas were found to be sound and in serviceable condition at this time. There was no core deterioration or delamination noted. Interior and exterior condition of vessel is, IN MY OPINION, above average for a used vessel of this age. Engine room condition and appearance is, IN MY OPINION, above average for this type of vessel. Page 10 of 13

11 While on a trailer, hull bottom, topsides and outdrives were inspected and found to be in average to above average condition. No Osmotic Blistering was noted on hull bottom or transom. Hull bottom was sounded with a phenolic tool with no voids detected. Bottom paint is in good condition, with only an occaisional superficial scrape made by forklift loading/unloading. NOTE: Bottom paint was required from the factory, when optional hull color was ordered. Outdrives were visually inspected and found to be in sound condition, with no rust or corrosion evident at this time. All Outdrive zincs were either missing or in need of replacement Trim Tab zincs are nearing the end of their usefulness and should be replaced ASAP. Vessel performed extremely well during sea-trials, with no vibration or thru-hull leaks noted. The following readings were taken during sea-trials: RPM MPH KTS / Oil pressure and Water Temperatures remained in normal ranges: Oil: 60 to 70 psi Water Temp: 180 F to 185 F NOTE: Speed in Knots was determined using the formula: MPH x.8684 =KTS Page 11 of 13

12 RECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Replace all zincs; Trim Tabs, Outdrives, Propeller hubs 2) Clean aft engine room bilge 3) Clean Sump Pump Box and surrounding bilge area (under step to cabin from bridge) 4) Clean toilet and remove smell from head compartment 5) Replace broken latch on bottom locker in forward cabin, starboard side 6) Forward cabin wooden table (under forward cabin bed) has discolored top 7) Replace burned out bulb on Port side (Red) running light 8) Re-install pneumatic lifting piston for forward rope locker (lying loose in rope locker) 9) Repair approximately 3 areas of chipped fiberglass on trailing edge of swim platform 10) Re-seat forward cover and trim on dash, forward of dashboard NOTE: The following are essential items that should be included on any new or relatively new vessel, with the potential buyer having a reasonable expectation that they would be included: 1) Complete U.S. Coast Guard Safety Package 2) Complete and operable VHF radio 3) All Owner s and Maintenance Manuals; Engine and Vessel owner s/maintenance manuals at the very least. 13 This vessel is considered to be sound and in satisfactory condition for its intended service at this time with no warranty either specified or implied. This vessel has not been significantly altered from its original configuration. This survey is based on the facts presented and discovered, in my opinion, with no warranty either specified or implied. Latent defects not to be found without opening or removal of sheathing, joiner work, deck covering and/or the disassembly of machinery, plumbing, wiring or other parts of this vessel are not covered in this report and deficiencies not noted may exist.
