Fleenor the below marine surveyor, at the request of Bill Gilk, did attend the: Orca while in dry storage on its trailer at Homer Boat Yard in Homer, Alaska, for a condition and valuation survey to obtain market value of vessel for sale. 2 GENERAL VESSEL DESCRIPTION and LAYOUT: The Orca has twin Honda gas four stroke outboard motors with a molded fiberglass hull, semi-vee bottomplanning hull, hard chines, and flat transom with fiberglass swim platform. The main cabin is forward with hydraulic helm to the starboard; self-bailing open fishing cockpit aft, hull and cabin finished with light gray gelcoat with burgundy accent stripes. At the bow first is the stainless steel anchor roller / pulpit, anchor, bow locker w/ drain. A 20 x 20 Lexan escape hatch is mounted in the forecastle lid, wide walkways lead aft port and starboard to the fishing cockpit with 1 stainless steel pipe railings port and starboard sides approximately 28 high to amidships. Attached to the cabin lid are ¾ stainless steel pipe hand railings fore and aft, a stainless steel 1 pipe arch for fishing 8 pole holders and a 3 aluminum pipe mast for the radar dome. A hinged door enters the cabin with a window from center aft. To the starboard of entry is the galley area with Formica counter top with stainless sink and cupboard space. Next forward is the helm with pilot seat, full engine controls, instruments, gauges, various electronics and 12-volt electrical panels. To port of entry is settee with fore aft seating for four with storage under the seats and the table also folds down into a double bunk. Mounted to the lid above the table is a chart rack for navigational charts. Next forward amidships is entry into the forecastle stepping down, containing two bunks, and a Lexan ventilation/ escape hatch in the cabin lid. The vessel s interior is finished with gel-coated sole, overhead and walls, Formica tops, teak trim and cabinetry, seats are covered in vinyl. The cabin has aluminum framed safety glass windows, aluminum framed side sliders port and starboard sides, good visibility from inside the cabin. Aft of the cabin bulkhead is the fishing cockpit with 30 fiberglass bulwarks and 7 high 1 ½ aluminum, pipe safety railing around the stern with six pole holders attached to the safety railing. Centerline aft of the main cabin is two storage/fish holds that are self bailing to the stern compartment bilge. First aft is a 64 x 33 hold with two fiberglass hatch covers and next aft is a 26 x 37 hold with a single fiberglass hatch cover. Next aft is the battery compartment and is accessed through a 48 x 37 fiberglass cover located in the stern. The battery compartment contains two 12-volt marine batteries, manual bilge pump, bilge alarm, transducer, wash down pump, trim tab reservoir. Mounted to the stern is a Pooderbuilt aluminum transom mount that holds twin Honda 150 VTEC four stroke outboard motors and tilt and Bow Leveler hydraulic stainless steel trim tabs. Vin# 1ZE1LG721FA027574/ AK licence 7839 SG (2009). FINDINGS & RECOMMENDATIONS for SAFETY: (1) Found / Recommended: Found port / starboard chine s are worn from loading the boat on the trailer. Recommend repair in a workmanship like manner, before more damage is done to hull (2) Found / Recommended: Found boat trailer has flat tires and appears to need maintenance. Recommend servicing all tires and wheel bearings before placing back into service for safety. (3) Found / Recommended: Found safety/ survival equipment is not on vessel. Recommend updating all safety/ survival gear before placing vessel back into service for safety. EMS Orca of 6

5 GENERAL COMMENTS AND CONDITION: It is the responsibility of the Vessels Owners and Masters to keep the Vessel in compliance with all applicable Federal and State rules and regulations, which apply, to the vessel service and area of operation. The Orca was surveyed while in dry storage on its trailer at Homer Boat Yard in Homer, Alaska, for a condition and valuation survey to obtain market value of vessel for sale. Vessel appears sound and well built to accepted standards and practices, in a workmanship like manner. Overall housekeeping and maintenance appear to be good/ fair. The hull, deck and cabin appear to be in good/ fair condition and maintenance with normal wear and use; coatings are intact. The starboard side bow bulwarks, bow and port and starboard hull chine s are worn and scratched up from loading the boat on the trailer. The vessel has twin 150 hp. Honda four stroke engines, the port engine was new in 2008 and has approximately 1,300 hours; the starboard engine is reported new in 2011 with approximately 200 hours. The meters do not appear to work properly; hours can be down loaded from the engines computers by the Honda service shop. The bottom of the vessel appears to be in good condition, the vessel is sitting on an EZ-Loader double axel trailer so I do not have full access to the bottom for inspection. The port and starboard chines are worn from loading the boat on the trailer, and need to be repaired before any further damage is done to the hull. The vessels under water fittings and hardware appear to be sound and in good condition. The EZ-Loader double axel trailer that the vessel is sitting on has two flat tires and appears to need maintenance. After this inspection it is the opinion of the attending surveyor that this vessel appears to be in suitable condition for operation in her intended service, subject to the above Findings and Recommendations for Safety. ESTIMATED VALUE: Market Value: $60, Replacement Value: $135, This report of survey is for condition and valuation purposes, but is necessarily limited to and based upon a visual inspection of the vessel in the locations described, and was conducted without opening the vessels hull, machinery, equipment, fittings and gear, to the best of the surveyors ability, without the removal of bulkheads paneling, ceilings or other portions of her structure, and without the operation or opening up of her machinery, electronics and auxiliaries for internal examinations. This survey represents the honest unbiased opinion of the surveyor after careful examination of the vessel while the vessel was dry-docked. By submitting this survey, it is understood by all parties concerned that it is not a guarantee of its accuracy nor does it create any liability on the part of the surveyor. It is further understood that anyone using this survey for any purpose agrees to hold Edgewater Marine Services of Alaska and/or it s employees, representatives and surveyor harmless for any errors and/or omissions regarding this survey. The content of this survey is in accordance with the recommended voluntary standards established by the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS).
