1 2018 Per-Tai Lake Long Distance Sailing Regatta 16 19, 2018 Wuxi; Huzhou; Suzhou and Wuxi, China The organizing authority will be Jiangsu Sailing Federation and Jiangsu Han Hang Sports Development Co., Ltd supported by Jiangsu Sports Federation and Jiangsu Maritime Bureau, China Notice of Race 1 RULES 1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). 1.2 No national prescriptions will apply. 1.3 If there is a conflict between a rule in the NOR and one in the SI, the rule in the SI shall take precedence. This changes RRS No class rule apply. 1.5 Addendum Q will apply. 1

2 2, Eligibility, Entry and Fees: The regatta is open to sailors who shall assume responsibility for ensuring the competency in keelboat racing. Each skipper may submit one team entry each consisting of permanent residents or citizens of their country, by completing the entry form and sending it together with the requisite entry fee of 7,000 RMB/team or 1025USD/team to the Organizing Committee no late than 20 th October Late entry maybe accepted solely at the discretion of the organizer. Skipper s entry shall be represented by a team of 4 sailors. All sailors will be invited to official events and prize-giving dinners. All enquiries & entry form to be submitted by to regi@hhsports.cn Damage deposit is 5,000RMB/team or 730USD/team in cash for each team while entering the regatta. It will be refunded after race while there is no damage on boat. When there is damage, the charge of repairment will be based on dedicated boat factor s quotation and need to be fully covered by team on the part that exceeds the insurance coverage. 3 3, Accommodation and Meals Participating teams with 4 crews will be provided with free hotel accommodation (2 twin-sharing rooms) near the venue, from 15 th to 19 th All dinners will be provided on race days from 15 rd to 19 th including welcome party and Night of Tai-Lake Prizes Awarding. 4 Sunday, 18 th Race from Huzhou(Zhejiang) to Suzhou(Jiangsu) Night of Tai Lake Prize Awarding, Suzhou Monday, 19 th Suzhou(Jiangsu) to Wuxi(Jiangsu) Closing Ceremony and Prize Awarding Tuesday, 20 th Breakfast 0900 Leaving 5, Equipment and Format The races will be run using one- design West Slight Potter; J80; DC20; FH50S and Benetean F22 keelboats to be provided by the organizer. Due to the limited number of boats available at the venue, entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis. The current plan is to provide 20 boats for this regatta. However, the number of the boats may be adjusted at the organizer discretion. Boats will be allocated by luck of draw to each of the team. Skipper shall check and sign on and off for each day s use and assume responsibility for any damage or loss incurred on the boat, which in the opinion of the organizer, is due to careless or incompetent sailing and handing of the boat. Skippers shall declare any damage on their boats upon signing off. Cost of damage shall be estimated by the organizer and deducted from the subsidies allocated for each of the teams. 4

5 6, Radio Communication Each team shall carry a handheld VHF by herself. The VHF channel 72 will be official contact to RC for open information and safety issues. It is not grounds for redress for not receiving information of RC by VHF or having not brought the handheld VHF on board. 7, Sailing Instructions Sailing Instruction will be available one day before start of regatta. 8, Prizes 8.1 Prizes will be awarded to top eight teams if more than 10 teams in one division. 6 From 5 th to 8 th Overall 3,000RMB/team 8.2 Prizes will be awarded to top 3 teams in Harbor racing as following: 1 st Overall 3,000RMB 2 nd Overall 2,000RMB 3 rd Overall 1,000RMB 8.3 Prizes will be awarded to top 6 teams in opening ceremony for decorating boat displaying their club flags, signal flags, national culture, national cloth and etc. The skipper should report model to OA for permit before opening ceremony. 7 3 rd 1,000RMB/sailor for 3 sailors 9, Insurance Each participating team shall be responsible for taking out a third party liability policy with a minimum of USD150,000 per event or the equivalent to cover their participation in this event. Each sailor shall also have personal accidental insurance with a minimum cover of USD100,000 per event or the equivalent.
