1 Oslo, 21 st December 2011 AMENDED WAR RISK TRADING LIMITS CURRENT CONDITIONAL TRADING AREAS Reference is made to circular no. 630 dated 19 th August 2011, which contained an overview of the conditional trading areas. 2 WAR RISK TRADING LIMITS Current conditional trading area pursuant to 15-9 (a) of the Plan as of January 1 st 2012 Named Countries shall include their coastal waters up to 12 nautical miles offshore, unless specifically varied below. Specific ports, places and coasts should be understood to include harbours, offshore installations, and adjacent waters up to 12 nautical miles offshore unless otherwise agreed. Named Ports shall include all facilities/terminals within areas controlled by the relevant port authority(ies) (or as may be more precisely defined by Insurers) including offshore facilities/terminals, and all waters within 12 nautical miles of such, but not exceeding 12 nautical miles offshore. AREA/VOYAGES. DNK s rates: BAHRAIN This exclusion shall not apply where the vessels or craft do not call at a Bahraini Port, but only transiting Bahraini waters. BENIN Rate to be agreed 48/7 DJIBOUTI Rate to be agreed 48/7 This exclusion shall not apply where the vessels or craft are transiting the waters claimed by Djibouti as their territorial waters and where such vessels or craft do not call at a Djibouti Port ERITREA, but only South of 15 N Rate to be agreed 48/7 GEORGIA GULF OF GUINEA, Rate to be agreed 48/7 a) On the northern side the coast of Benin and Nigeria b) On the western side a straight line from the border, on the coast, of Benin and Togo to position Latitude 3 North, Longitude 1 38 East c) On the southern side a straight line from there to position Latitude 3 North, Longitude 8 East d) On the eastern side a straight line from there to Latitude 4 North, Longitude 8 31 East and then from there to the border, on the coast, of Nigeria and Cameroon. 2

3 INDIAN OCEAN / ARABIAN SEA / GULF OF ADEN / GULF OF OMAN / SOUTHERN RED SEA The waters enclosed by the following boundaries: a) On the north-west, by the Red Sea, south of Latitude 15 N b) on the west of the Gulf of Oman by Longitude 58 E c) on the east, Longitude 78 E d) and on the south, Latitude 12 S excepting coastal waters of adjoining territories up to 12 nautical miles offshore unless otherwise provided. Rate to be agreed 48/7 Note that vessels or craft are not to approach within 50 nautical miles of the Socotra archipelago, and vessels or craft are to stay at least 40 nautical miles to the north of Somalia when transiting the Gulf of Aden. Please note that a rate will need to be agreed both in respect of transits through and extended stays in this area. 4 NIGERIA Rate to be agreed 48/7 PAKISTAN Rate to be agreed 48/7 Sulu Archipelago Transit The area enclosed between: a. on the Western side, a straight line between Tanjung Bidadari (5 49 6N, E) to position N, E b. on the South Eastern side, a straight line from there to position N, E, and thence northwards to position N, E c. on the Northern side, a straight line from there to Batorampon Point Light (7 06 6N, E) d. and on the North Western side, a straight line from there back to Tanjung Bidadari. QATAR This exclusion shall not apply where the vessels or craft are transiting the waters claimed by Qatar as their territorial waters and where such vessels or craft do not call at a Qatari Port SAUDI ARABIA incl. Red Sea Coast Rate to be agreed 48/7 This exclusion shall not apply where the vessels or craft are transiting the waters claimed by Saudi Arabia as their territorial waters and where such vessels or craft do not call at a Saudi Arabian Port SOMALIA H/C 48/7 Somalia, including waters out to 250 nautical miles East of the Eastern (Indian Ocean) coast. Vessels or craft are not to approach within 50 nautical miles of the Socotra archipelago. Vessels or craft are to stay at least 40 nautical miles to the north of Somalia when transiting the Gulf of Aden (West of 45 degr.e) SYRIA Rate to be agreed 48/7 VENEZUELA including all offshore installation in the Venezuelan EEZ For tankers, offshore and/or offshore supply units Rate to be agreed 48/7 All other vessels NIL YEMEN Rate to be agreed 48/7 4

5 All quotes 48/7 (quote for 7-day stay in A.P. area, quote stands 48 hours after given) and unless specified otherwise; cf. also NMIP regarding suspension of cover when arms, ammunition and/or military equipment is carried as cargo without insurer s consent, suspension of cover when in breach of UN sanctions or UN Security Council Resolutions and suspension of cover where not all necessary UN permits/approvals have been obtained unless the insurer consents. Den Norske Krigsforsikring for Skib has waived the duty to advise calls to all NIL A.P. areas. Where areas are NIL-classified but approval by Government or other Agency is required the shipowner is responsible for obtaining such approval. Prior advice to be issued with 48 hours notice in the event any A.P. becomes chargeable for NIL A.P. areas. 5
