(VK67 can meaure up to hour.) l fter minute, the chronograph will top counting. (VK67 will top counting after hour.) l efore uing the chronograph, be ure to check that the crown i et at the normal poition and that the hand are reet to the 0 poition

STRT STOP RESET TCHYMETER [for model with tachymeter cale on the dial] To meaure the hourly average peed of a vehicle Ex. 1 Tachymeter cale: 90 econd hand: 40 econd 90 (tachymeter cale figure) x 1 (km or mile) = 90 km/h or mph 23 1 Ue the topwatch to determine how many econd it take to go 1 km or 1 mile. 2 Locate the econd marker on the main dial that correpond to the meaured econd, and the tachymeter cale it indicate give the average peed per hour. 8 Tachymeter cale can be ued only when the time required i le than econd. Ex. 1: If the meauring ditance i extended to 2 km or mile or hortened to 0.5 km or mile and econd hand indicate 90 9

Ex. 2: If 15 job are completed in 20 econd: 180 (tachymeter cale figure) x 15 job = 2700 job/hour NOTES ON OPERTING THE WTCH TIME SETTING l If the crown i pulled out to the econd click while the chronograph i counting, the hand will continue to move. Thi i not a malfunction. l When etting the, firt advance it 4 to 5 minute ahead of the deired time and then turn it back to the exact minute. 24-hour etting (VK63 & VK73 only) l The 24-hour hand move correpondingly with the hour and. l When etting the hour hand, check that the 24-hour hand i correctly et. CLENDR SETTING l It i neceary to adjut the date on the firt day after a -day month and February. l Do not et the date between 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m, a thi will caue a malfunction. l Retart and top of the chronograph can be repeated a many time a neceary by preing button. 11

7 TTERY CHNGE WRNING 3 Year attery life : pprox. 3 year attery : SEIKO SR936SW l If the chronograph i ued for more than minute a day, the battery life may be le than the pecified period. l the battery i inerted at the factory to check the function and performance of the watch, it actual life once in your poeion may be le than the pecified period. l When the battery expire, be ure to replace it a oon a poible to prevent any malfunction. l We recommend that you contact an UTHORIZED PULSR DELER for battery replacement. l Do not remove the battery from the watch. l If it i neceary to take out the battery, keep it out of the reach of children. If a child wallow it, conult a doctor immediately. l Never hort-circuit, tamper with or heat the battery, and never expoe it to fire. The battery may burt, become very hot or catch fire. Care hould alo be taken on diving into water. TEMPERTURES Your watch work with table accuracy within a temperature range of 5 C and 35 C (41 F and 95 F). Temperature over 50 C (2 F) may caue battery leakage or horten the battery life. Do not leave your watch in very low temperature below 5 C (+23 F) for a long time ince the cold may caue a light time lo or gain. However, the above condition will be corrected when the watch return to normal temperature. 15

PERIODIC CHECK It i recommended that the watch be checked once every 2 to 3 year. Have your watch checked by an UTHORIZED PULSR DELER or SER VICE CENTER to enure that the cae, crown, button, gaket and crytal eal remain intact. PRECUTION REGRDING CSE CK PROTECTIVE FILM If your watch ha a protective film and/or a ticker on the cae back, be ure to peel them off before uing your watch.
