The EP-1000-CH and lexflo Regulator provide the ideal combination for high pressure setpoint regulation. The Model EP-1000-CH provides setpoints up to 1000 psig (6895 ). The Model EP-100-CH provides setpoints up to 100 psig (896 ). The EP-1000-CH and EP-100-CH may be utilized for pressure reduction, relief service and backpressure control. ll Becker EP Pilots are field reversible to allow for use in all application configurations. The EP-1000-CH and Model 900TE are ideal for applications that require superior accuracy. The EP-1000-CH provides unparalleled accuracy, minimal droop, and excellent lock-off characteristics. The EP-1000-CH allows flexible element regulators such as the Model 900TE lexflo to close off flow with minimal overshoot of pressure. This is of particular importance in dead-end system that are equipped with relief valves.

3 How It Works: EP-1000/100-CH configuration shown is for Pressure Reduction (Downstream Pressure Control) in conjunction with a Becker Model 900TE lexflo Regulator. Increasing downstream pressure will cause the EP-1000/100-CH to close the lexflo Regulator and restrict flow. Initially, the downstream pressure is above the setpoint of the EP-1000/100-CH. With the lexflo jacket pressure equal to the upstream pressure, the lexflo Regulator remains fully closed (ig. 7.1). s downstream pressure falls to a pressure equal to setpoint of the EP-1000/100-CH pilot, the lexflo Regulator jacket pressure will begin to decrease. When the lexflo jacket loading pressure falls below the upstream pressure, the lexflo Regulator will begin to open and flow gas (ig. 7.). If the downstream pressure falls to a point nearly equal to the upstream pressure, the lexflo Regulator will fully unload the jacket pressure. With the jacket pressure equal to the downstream pressure, the lexflo Regulator is fully open (ig. 7.). 7 Becker Model T-5 ilter The Becker Model T-5 (T-Type ilter) filters supply gas for use upstream of lexflo Pilots and other lexflo instrumentation. The T-5 body is manufactured from Zinc-Plated Steel for rugged durability. The T-5 is a compact filter device ideal for use with lexflo instrumentation when dehydration is not necessary. The T-5 cartridge filter element is made up of high density polyethylene providing a large surface area and filtration to 5 microns. The element can be readily replaced by depressurizing; removing the bottom closure; replacing the filter and reassembling (hand tight) while still in the line.
