2 What s new on the ski area: 2017 / 2018 New features A NEW GONDOLA LIFT IN MORAINE SETAM, Val Thorens ski lift company, has invested 14 million euros to provide skiers with even more comfort by replacing the Moraine chair lift with a gondola lift this winter. A highly prized sector among skiers of all abilities, the 10-seater cabinswill provide easy, safe transportation. The slopes served by the Moraine ski lift are ideal for beginners, who can now relax in the warmth and comfort of the gondolas on their journey! A NEW BLUE RUN IN THE SUNSHINE A fourth blue run has been added to the Plein Sud sector, which goes to the top of the resort via a lovely balcony route overlooking Val Thorens village. After an 8 minutes ascent using the Péclet Funitel, you arrive at the departure set at the foot of the magnificent Péclet glacier, at an altitude of 3,000 m. Then it s off for 45 mins of excitement and sliding entertainment! The itinerary is great fun, linking raised bends and varied slopes giving tobogganists intense pleasure. 7 The Toboggan, procedure: Meet at the Toboggan chalet, above the start of the Cascades chairlift : MONDAY TO FRIDAY: from 12:15 pm to 4:30 pm. EVENING from Monday to Friday : Purchase of tickets and booking are OBLIGATORY on the day itself from one of our ticket offices. LE TOBOGGAN is open from 5 pm to 6 pm (6:30 pm when the timetable changes in February). Last lift to the Péclet funitel is at 6:15 pm (6:45 pm when the timetable changes in February). Vin chaud (mulled wine) and Beaufort cheese are offered upon arrival at the Toboggan chalet until 7:15 pm (7:30 pm when the timetable changes in February). The evening session may be cancelled if the weather conditions are bad and tickets may be used for another evening. le Toboggan instructions 12 SATURDAY AND SUNDAY: from 10 am to 4 pm (4:30 pm when the timetable changes in February). CAUTION! For your safety, tobogganing is FORBIDDEN for children under 5 years old. It is free for children between the age of 5 and 10 and under 1.25 m tall, on an adult s (above 18) sled. Only children over 10 years old and over 1.25 m tall are allowed to use a sled on their own. Children aged between 9 and 10 years old and over 1.25 m tall can use a sled on their own, if accompanied by an adult (above 18) on another sled. Only SETAM sleds are authorized on this run. Helmets and gloves are COMPULSORY for everyone. Don t forget that departure is at an altitude of 3,000 metres. Make sure you dress warmly. 10 The Pass: how it works 6 day Pedestrian Pass your pass is nominative, and is marked PRIVILEGE PEDESTRIAN. You must keep it on you at all times (in a left hand pocket for going through the turnstiles) when you take the different ski lifts open to pedestrians. The Privilege Pedestrian Pass Le Toboggan: Rendez-vous at the Chalet du Toboggan, situated above the bottom station of the Cascades chairlift. Leave your 6 day Pedestrian Pass as a security deposit for the equipment loan (sled + helmet, which should be returned before 5 pm). LE TOBOGGAN is open from Monday to Friday from 12:15 pm to 4:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm (4:30 pm when the timetable changes in February). The toboggan run may close due to weather conditions. Access is via the Péclet funitel and using your toboggan run pass at the turnstiles. With the 6 day Aquapass: when you purchase your Privilege Pedestrian Pass, you will be given a voucher. Hand this in at the Val Thorens sports center and you will receive your 6 day Aquapass. 11 Families, we love you more and more! The family pass It s even simpler: the whole family pays child rate! For children 5 years old, ski passes are FREE. Children means 5 to 17 years old inclusive. How does it work? You are a family: 2 adults and at least 2 children. Buy the same ski pass for the same duration and the same ski area (Val Thorens or Les 3 Vallées). Choose your formula to ski as a family for 6 to 21 days. Also available for one day, only for the Val Thorens / Orelle area. For bigger families! Extra children: The 3 rd dependant child and any following, pay child rate (5 to 17 years old inclusive). WARNING! The Family Pass, as well as the other discounts, are only given on presentation of official proof (passport etc.). Respect the age categories when you buy your ski passes as you will be systematically checked by the ski lift turnstiles or by the control team. 14 Who can benefit from a free ski pass? Free passes years old Children 5 Adults +75 years old Access to the Val Thorens / Orelle, Vallée des Belleville or 3 Vallées ski areas require a ski pass, even if it s a free one. You must go to the ticket office with official proof so that we can issue your free ski pass. You can take the following ski lifts without a ski pass: Castor & Pollux moving carpets, Musaraigne moving carpet and Campagnols moving carpet. WARNING! For your ski pass to be issued, a photo is COMPULSORY. Don t forget to keep your proof of purchase and to respect the age categories: ski passes are systematically checked at the ski lift turnstiles or by the control teams. 26 Even if your ski pass is free, don t forget your insurance! (see page 29) An extra day in VAL THORENS / ORELLE Your 6 day (or more) ski pass has just ended but you would like to ski for one more day. You can buy an extra day at a special price if you take your ski pass back to the ski ticket office. WARNING! The purchase of an extra day is only valid for the Val Thorens / Orelle ski area. You can only purchase an extra day when your 6 day or more ski pass expires. Set off and discover LES 3 VALLÉES ski area: The biggest ski area in the world! If you have a Val Thorens / Orelle ski pass for 2 days or more and you would like to enjoy one or several days in Les 3 Vallées, just go to the ticket office with your ski pass and buy a day s extensionfor Les 3 Vallées. IMPORTANT! Extensions are only available for valid ski passes and are only valid for one day. For all extra days you must go back to the ticket office. When the card is purchased and for each day used the amount is debited from the main subscriber s credit card (weekly debit). The amount debited depends on the number of skiing days used with the card and on the ski area. SUBSCRIPTION EXCLUSIVELY ON INTERNET: a recent photo for each card Incomplete applications will not be processed. Your ski pass is strictly personal and non-transferable. 20 General Terms of Sale and Use of ski lift passes GENERAL The purchase of a pass implies acknowledgement and acceptance by the person (hereinafter the "Client") of these General Terms of Use (hereinafter "GTU") in full, without prejudice to the usual forms of redress. Ski pass Terms & Conditions of Sale and Use If a provision of these terms is found to be lacking, it shall be considered to be governed by the rules in use by ski lift companies based in France. 1 - PASSES The pass comprises a support on which a ticket is recorded. There are two types of passes, namely "dated" passes for which the first and last day of use are specified and "non-dated" passes for which no first day of use is specified. For non-dated passes, the number of days is counted uninterrupted and consecutively as from the time the holder passes through the first turnstile, whatever time of day this occurs. For 4-hour passes, the number of hours is counted uninterrupted and consecutively as of the time the holder passes through the first turnstile. If, when the ski lifts close, the hours of credit have not been used, these cannot be transferred to a later day or reimbursed or exchanged. For dated passes, dates of validity cannot be modified, except in exceptional circumstances duly adjudicated by the operator. Throughout the period of ticket validity and in accordance with the terms conditions stipulated below, the pass provides access to the ski lifts operating in the ski area corresponding to the purchase (Val-Thorens-Orelle, Vallée des Belleville or 3 Vallées). 1.1 SUPPORT AND TICKET Tickets are issued on rechargeable supports. Tickets must be purchased either at SETAM ticket sales outlets in the resort, or in one of the SETAM self-service ski pass distributors or on the online sales website As well as being rechargeable at SETAM ticket sales outlets, the supports can be used to purchase a 4-hour ticket, a day ticket for a maximum of 25 consecutive days (Adult 13 to 64 years old, Child 5 to 12 years old, Senior 65 to 74 years old), a Family Pass, A Duo Pass or a Tribu Pass from the website The holder of a support does not benefit from any reduction on ticket prices when recharging. Only 3 Vallées extensions can be added to supports that still have credit. Rechargeable supports can be used on one or more occasions, subject to a two-year guarantee period. The guarantee only applies to cases of normal use and covers the issuing of a new support to replace the faulty support. 2 - CONDITIONS OF ISSUE OF TICKETS 2.1 PHOTO AND PROOF OF IDENTITY Season passes, reduced-price passes and free passes are issued with a recent full-face photo, without sunglasses or headgear. This photograph is kept by SETAM in its ticketing computer system, at least for the validity period of the pass. 2.2 TARIFFS REDUCTIONS AND FREE PASSES All ski pass sales tariffs are displayed in the ticket offices. The prices indicated are in euros, inclusive of all taxes, including the VAT rate applicable on the day of purchase. It may not be loaned either free of charge Reductions or free passes are offered to various categories of persons, as stipulated or in exchange for payment

21 at the sales outlets and on presentation at the time of purchase of documents that provide the proof required for said issue. No reduction or reimbursement can be awarded after a purchase. The Client's applicable age is that on the first valid day of the issued pass. 2.3 PAYMENT PROCEDURE AND METHODS Payments are to be made in euros : Ski pass Terms & Conditions of Sale and Use in cash : 1000 if debtors are French tax residents or acting for the requirements of a professional activity, 15,000 when debtors can prove they are not French tax residents and not acting for the requirements of a professional activity. or by cheque drawn on an open French bank account payable to SETAM on presentation of proof of ID. or by bank card (Visa, Eurocard, Master Card). or by valid holiday vouchers issued by the ANCV (no change is given). or in certain currencies (US dollars, Canadian dollars, pound sterling, Swiss francs, Norwegian krone, Swedish krone and Danish krone) Purchases from ski pass distributors and recharging terminals can only be made by bank card (Visa, Eurocard, Master Card). 2.4 PROOF OF PURCHASE Each issuing of a ski pass, except "group day passes", generates a proof of purchase detailing the type of ticket, date of issue and a unique ID number. This proof of purchase must be kept in a safe place for any further requests. We highly recommend that clients do not keep it in the same pocket as the support. 3 - SKI PASS REIMBURSEMENTS 3.1 PARTIALLY USED AND UNUSED PASSES Partially used or unused tickets shall be neither reimbursed nor exchanged. 3.2 LOST, DESTROYED OR STOLEN TICKETS In case of loss, destruction or theft, and subject to presentation of the proof of purchase, the ticket will be replaced for the remaining period of validity, subject to payment of a 10 handling fee. 3.3 CLOSURE OR INTERRUPTED SERVICE In the event of the ski lift service being interrupted, the holders of a paid, valid ski pass may be offered "compensation" at the end of their stay for the disruption caused, solely in cases of full and consecutive stoppage of the Val Thorens ski lifts exceeding half a day. On production of proof, the Client may benefit : either from an immediate extension, or, on written request, from a credit voucher for a day or days of skiing to be used no later than the end of the third winter season following the season during which the compensation was offered, or from deferred reimbursement, with documents of proof produced within two months, by bank transfer no later than four months following receipt of said documents. This shall be established in proportion to the length of interruption of the ski lift service, calculated as follows : (value in euros of the ticket purchased by the Client for a period X) (value in euros of an identical tickets to that purchased by the Client, but for a consecutive period X-Y), with Y being the period of service interruption exceeding half a day. The Client cannot claim any amount or service exceeding this fixed compensation amount. Only a full and consecutive stoppage of the Val Thorens ski lifts exceeding half a day is a cause for compensation for holders of 3 Vallées and Vallée des Belleville ski passes issued in Val Thorens. Interruption of the 3 Vallées and Vallée des Belleville link only due to bad weather is not sufficient to give rise to compensation. Ski pass Terms & Conditions of Sale and Use 40 41

22 3.4 ILLNESS, ACCIDENTS AND OTHER PERSONAL EVENTS No reimbursements shall be given for tickets following illness, accidents or any other personal event, whatever the period of validity of the pass. Insurance policies may cover this risk and further information is available on this subject from our sales staff. Ski pass Terms & Conditions of Sale and Use 4 - PASS CHECKS The Client must carry their pass at all times when using the ski lifts, from the bottom of the lift to the top. To facilitate transmission of the encoded information during the passage through turnstiles, lift passes must be carried on the left and preferably away from any mobile phones, keys and any form of packaging made wholly or partially from aluminium. In addition, the Client must ensure they are not carrying two valid ski passes. Checks The various age categories are systematically checked at turnstiles, as shown by different colours of light. The pass must be presented when requested by an operator. A Client who is unable to show a pass, or is using an invalid ticket or is not complying with the policy regulations displayed at the bottom of the ski lifts, as certified by a sworn inspector, shall be subject : either to a fixed penalty, not barring further prosecution. This fixed penalty is equal to FIVE times the value of the daily ticket for the corresponding age category and chosen sector, plus the handling fee, if applicable, set by regulations in force ( maximum). (Articles L342-15, R and R of the French Tourism Code and Articles et seq. of the French Criminal Procedure Code); immediately report the event to a police officer, who may then immediately order the inspector to present the Client forthwith. If the ticket belongs to a third party, the sworn inspector shall immediately remove the pass with a view to returning it to its true holder. In addition, forging a ticket or use of a forged ticket shall result in criminal prosecution and the payment of compensation (decree no of ). In this case, the pass may be removed for use as evidence. 5 - COMPLAINTS Any complaints must be sent to SETAM within two months of the occurrence of the event generating the complaint, without prejudice to legal redress and periods for taking legal action, to the following address : SETAM, Service Clientèle, Le Génépi, VAL-THORENS LES BELLEVILLE. 6 - PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION All information requested by SETAM for issuing a pass is mandatory. If one or more items of mandatory information are missing, the pass cannot be issued. Chambéry: B SIRET APE code: 4939 C RC Operation of ski lifts 44 GENERAL RULES Article 1 : GENERAL PROVISIONS FOR ALL TYPES OF LIFTS In application of article 6 of the aforementioned decree of 22 March 1942, this order sets out the general provisions for ensuring public order and safety are maintained during the access, transport and disembarkation of users of chair lifts, button lifts, bicable cable cars, gondolas and carpet lifts providing transport for tourist or sports purposes in mountain resorts located in the département of Savoie. Users are bound to comply with these regulations and follow any special instructions that operating staff may issue to ensure the correct functioning and safety of the facilities. Users must: Take note of the special terms of transport and information displayed at the departure point of each lift, Take note of the regulations concerning ski slopes and mountain zones, as well as of current conditions (weather conditions, crowds, slope conditions, etc.). On the basis of this information, they must assess their capacity to use the facilities. Similarly, it is the responsibility of those in charge of children, whether parents or designated caregivers (friends, instructors, etc.), to assess the capacity of children to use the facilities and to make the necessary arrangements. Article 2: CONDITIONS OF ACCESS FOR USERS TO ALL TYPES OF LIFTS Priority admission Priority admission is granted to the rescue services (including their equipment, such as rescue sleds, evacuation equipment, etc.), law enforcement officers and inspection and operating staff in their professional capacity. 24 Access for those requesting special transport conditions is granted by agreement from the operator. Transport passes Authorised access to the facilities is subject to compliance with the designated purpose and, if applicable, possession of a valid transport pass, which must be presented at the inspection point in accordance with the current terms of issue and use. Hours of use Access to the facilities is authorised during the hours displayed at the departure point. However, access to all or part of the facilities may be permanently or temporarily prohibited to users or subject to access restrictions. Users must take note of these provisions. Access restrictions Users must stay within the demarcated zones and only embark and disembark at the places specified for this purpose, in accordance with signs and markings. Access to any parts of the facilities that are not designated for transporting users is strictly prohibited to any external persons. Compliance with recommendations provided by signs and operating staff. Users must comply with instructions issued to them, which are displayed on signs and information boards or provided by operating staff. User behaviour All users must comply with all standard law regulations issued to ensure respect of decency, salubrity, order and public safety in the facilities, within which the stations and annexes are accessible to the public. Any conduct liable to affect order and safety is strictly prohibited, in particular: General Rules the consumption of alcohol or alcoholic beverages outside of the duly authorised places specified for this purpose, drunkenness, insults, brawls and the gathering of crowds, 46 behaviour and attitudes liable to negatively affect operation of the lifts, breaches of hygiene and public salubrity regulations, begging and solicitation of any kind, the sale of articles by any unauthorised persons, the posting of notices, flyers or prospectuses, the performing by any means of any inscriptions, signs or drawings on the facilities, ground, pylons, buildings, seats, apparatus or vehicles, any collection, dissemination or distribution whatsoever of any objects or written material, the use of any sound-producing instruments or apparatus, the transport of flammable, explosive or toxic products, except those authorised by the head of operations, the depositing or abandonment of any objects in the facilities, smoking in the facilities, pursuant to articles R et seq. of the French public health code. Article 3: TERMS OF TRANSPORT FOR CHAIRLIFTS Users must use equipment suitable for the operating conditions. They must behave in a manner that does not compromise their own safety, that of other persons or of the facilities. They must not in any case hinder the running of the operation. To this end, users are prohibited from: hampering the effective operating of the facilities, embarking on a chair lift when access is closed, embarking or disembarking from their chair outside of the zones designated for this purpose, General Rules 47

25 activating the safety and security devices without a valid reason, damaging the facilities. Embarkation Users may only access the embarkation area when operating staff are present. Any persons requiring assistance with embarkation or disembarkation must expressly make themselves known to operating staff. In addition, users must: access the facilities without disturbing other users, reach the embarkation area respecting the areas demarcated and marked for this purpose, General Rules 48 remove their wrist straps and hold their ski poles in one hand, access the embarkation area respecting the capacity of vehicles and the pace (traffic lights, mobile barriers, etc.) imposed by the passing of chairs, form a line in the embarkation area, sit down on the bench, correctly timing the arrival of the chair, lower the safety rail as soon as possible after embarkation, in the event of a mistimed embarkation, users must not hang on and must let go immediately. Journey During the journey, users must: remain seated, keep the safety rail lowered, prevent any object from falling and not dispose of any object, not cause the seat to swing and keep their skis facing forwards, not try to leave the seat, whatever the circumstances. If the lift stops, even for an extended period of time, users must wait for instructions from the operating staff. Disembarkation Users must: raise their skis and the safety rail on approaching the arrival point, when level with the signs; stand up on the arrival platform, to the right of the signs, and leave the disembarkation area immediately in the direction indicated; in the event of failure to leave the vehicle at the appointed place, wait for the facilities to stop without trying to leave their seat and comply with the instructions of operating staff. Accidents and Incidents In the event of the line coming to a halt, users must remain calm, wait for instructions from staff and not try to leave their seats until instructed to do so. Any persons that have witnessed an accident or incident must immediately inform the operating staff. Complaints may be made to the operator. For this purpose, a complaints register is available to users. Children Children are placed under the responsibility of their parents or designated caregivers (friends, instructors, etc.), whose role it is to inform them of the rules for using the facilities and ensure they are aware of the correct attitude to adopt and errors to be avoided, in particular in the case of stoppage. Each child, whatever their height, counts as one person. Transporting children under 1.25 m. Children under 1.25 m may only be transported on a chair if they are accompanied by at least one person capable of providing them with the necessary assistance, in particular as regards lowering and lifting the safety rail and compliance with safety instructions. A maximum of two children under 1.25 m is permitted each side of this person, without any empty spaces between them. 26 to organise allocation of the children per chair, in compliance with the arrangements provided by the operator and to ensure, prior to embarkation, that those concerned by the embarkation of the children do not oppose this. Handicapped users (including skiers) Prior to transportation, handicapped persons, or those accompanying them, must inform the operator of the nature of their handicap and any need they may have for extra assistance. Taking into account the characteristics of the facilities, the nature of the handicap and the number of handicapped persons admitted simultaneously onto the facilities and on each chair, the operator will then confirm the terms of transport. In order to comply with the aforementioned requirements, this information must be mutually exchanged between the user and the operator at the time of purchasing the transport pass or on arrival at the site. At this time, the operator will provide the user with a list of the facilities they may use on account of the specific characteristics of their handicap. Foot passengers In cases where the transport of foot passengers is authorised, they must comply with the instructions provided by the operating staff concerning the terms of embarkation and disembarkation. Animals In cases where the transport of animals is authorised, the following terms apply: General Rules their transport must not affect the safety and hygiene of the operation, the persons accompanying the animals must keep them under proper control during transportation (on a lead, muzzled or in a bag), other users must not be inconvenienced, their evacuation must be envisaged. Other Miscellaneous objects (luggage) Space permitting, users may transport objects or luggage of limited size under their own responsibility. The transport of larger-sized objects may be authorised by the operating staff subject to the size and load restrictions of the chair. The transport of objects that may affect the safety and security of users and staff is prohibited. Special devices (leisure devices, sit-down skis, all-terrain wheelchairs) To qualify for authorisation, special devices must be suitable for transportation on a ski lift. This suitability may be assessed: By means of an opinion issued by the Service Technique des Remontées Mécaniques et des Transports Guidés (STRMTG), setting out the terms of use and operation specific to the device. Special devices suitable for ski lifts are listed either in the annex to the police regulations for the ski lift and validated by the STRMTG, or directly in the police regulations for the ski lift. If not listed, the operator may subject its agreement to a prior test if it considers that the equipment without an STRMTG opinion cannot be assessed by comparing it with equipment with which it is already familiar. If the test results are unsatisfactory, the operator may refuse to transport the device. Moreover, the operator may subject its authorisation to the specific nature of the facilities and their environment. Article 3: TERMS OF TRANSPORT FOR BUTTON LIFTS Users must use equipment suitable for the operating conditions, enabling normal use of the apparatus.
