2 In the 20 years since the G-SHOCK DW-5000C was first released back in 1983, the G Brand has evolved and grown to meet the needs of people the world over. On the occasion in 2003 of the 20th anniversary of the G-SHOCK, the brand mark and brand logo of the G-SHOCK have been updated in order to reinvigorate the G BRAND on the world market. In addition, a G-SHOCK 20th Anniversary Logo has also been created to emphasize the 20-year history of the G-SHOCK brand. Those whose jobs are connected with G Brand advertising and sales promotion activities, or G Brand image management and administration should follow the rules that are stipulated in this manual in order to maintain and improve the G Brand image. 3 BRAND MARK The BRAND MARK is for use with layouts of the collective G BRAND, or when showing G-SHOCK, MT-G, etc. collectively as brands for men, or when showing Baby-G and G-ms collective -ly as brands for women. BRAND LOGO MARK The BRAND LOGO MARK combines the G mark and the individ -ual brand name for each of the brands. This is the basic element for use with each brand in ads and sales promotion materials. BRAND LOGOTYPE This BRAND LOGOTYPE must be used when showing the brand names for each brand, in ads and sales promotion materials. OPEN SPACE (PROTECTION AREA) This is an area around brand logo marks, brand marks, etc., that must be left open in order to make them stand out from other design elements. PANTONE or PMS (Pantone Matching System) An international matching system to specify colours for printing inks, coloured papers, felt-tip pens, etc. 4 PROCESS COLOURS Printing system which uses four basic colours to create all other colours. The colours are; C (Cyan), M (Magenta), Y (Yellow) and BL (Black)

5 The colours for the brand marks, brand logo marks and brand logotypes in the G Brand are specified shown below. When you create ads, SP materials, etc, you must follow these colour specifications exactly using the LOGO DATA provided by CASIO headquarters. If it is impossible to use the LOGO DATA due to differences in materials etc., you can select the alternative logo appearance shown below. 6 Each brand logo mark, brand mark and brand logotype for each brands must be prominently featured, distinct from any other design elements. For this reason, an open sace or protection area is specified for brand logo marks, brand marks, and brand logotypes. You must allow a protection area in all advertising and SP materials, except for those not recognized in this manual. In addition, a minimum size for brand logo marks, brand marks and brand logotypes is specified in order to assure easy brand recognition. OPEN SPACE (PROTECTION AREA) A = 2 A 5 A A MINIMUM SIZE This is the minimum size for usage of brand logo marks, brand marks and brand logotypes. Brand Mark and Brand Logo Mark Brand Logotype G-SHOCK 20th Anniversary Logo Mark NOTE; A Portable Document Fomat (PDF) can be opened with Adobe Illustrator application to access and edit its contents. Perform the following steps when you want to use the LOGO DATA on PDF that you download and uncompress. 1. Start up Adobe Illustrator appllication. 2. On the [File] menu, select [Open] and then open the appropriate file. 3. Select the page you want, and then click [OK]. -5-
