1 ClearCurve Drop Cables for Verizon MDU Applications ClearCurve product solution is designed to help Verizon address and solve the challenges of deploying FTTP in MDU environments. Enabled by a truly ultra bend-insensitive fiber, ClearCurve fiber drop cables provide Verizon with a product that is optimized for applications throughout the entire spectrum of MDU deployments. ClearCurve Rugged Drop Cable, 4.8 mm Photo CCV014 ClearCurve fiber drops are available in two distinct product types: 4.8 mm rugged drops and 2.9 mm compact drops and both have similar performance features such as bend-insensitivity, minimum bend radius of 5 mm and extreme durability. In fact, ClearCurve fiber drops provide superior bandwidth capacity, but can be handled and treated like copper cables. Both products are riser-rated for indoor riser and general purpose horizontal applications. The 4.8 mm rugged cable also comes in an indoor/outdoor version. ClearCurve Compact Drop Cable, 2.9 mm Photo CCV017 ClearCurve Rugged Compact Drop Cable with Connectors Photo CCV018 ClearCurve 4.8 mm Rugged Drop Better than coax, ClearCurve Rugged Drop Cable outperforms typical RG-6 coaxial cables with a: Higher bandwidth-carrying capacity Smaller outer diameter Lighter weight Smaller bend radius Rugged, bend-insensitive cable design can be directly stapled to wall studs and joists using standard cable staples and hardware store variety staple guns. Self bend-limiting design allows for installers to route cable around tight corners down to 5 mm (0.2 in) radius without need for special handling procedures or bend guides. Available in both indoor/outdoor and indoor-only riser-rated versions for general purpose horizontal and riser applications. Available with connectors on both ends, on one end only or raw on both ends. Also available with connector first or last off the reel. Allows for the elimination of the use of microduct in MDU deployments. Convenient contractor-sized packaging for easy field deployment. ClearCurve 2.9 mm Compact Drop Better than copper cable alternatives, ClearCurve Compact Drop Cables outperform CAT5e or CAT6 with a: Higher bandwidth-carrying capacity Smaller outer diameter Lighter weight Smaller minimum bend radius Durable, bend-insensitive cable design enables installers to route cable around tight corners down to 5 mm (0.2 in) radius within the living unit in a variety of methods, including under carpet, around molding and door frames, in raceways and microduct. Available in riser-rated cable design for indoor vertical riser and general purpose horizontal installation applications. Available with connectors on both ends, on one end only or raw on both ends. Cables have convenient Countdown length markings to easily determine length of cable remaining on reel. 1. 4,500 ft raw drops 4.8 mm rugged drop standard cable reel 2. 4,500 ft raw drops 2.9 mm compact drop reel-in-a-box 3. 1,500 ft raw drops (both 2.9 mm and 4.8 mm) reel-in-a-box Standard lengths with connector come on a small spool 4. Connectorized on both ends with SC APC connectors 5. Connectorized on one end with SC APC connectors *In this configuration, customer may choose to have the connector FIRST off the spool or the connector LAST off the spool.
