1 As with non-metallic raceway, Hubbell metal raceway is available in a variety of styles. There are 13 metal raceway profiles 8 painted and 5 aluminum for customers to choose from! ALL Hubbell painted metal raceway is single channel raceway. The larger profiles can be used for multi service installations by adding dividers to separate power and data cables. 2 The smallest, and probably most popular, of Hubbell s single channel metal raceway profiles are the HBL500 and HBL750 series. The HBL750 series is slightly taller than the HBL500 series and the HBL500 series has the largest wire fill capacity in it s class! Raceway lengths are offered in 5ft and 10ft sections and ship assembled (ie backing installed in the cover). HBL500 series is only offered in Ivory, but the HBL750 series is available in white as well as ivory! The device boxes and the more common fittings can be used with both profiles and a large assortment are offered in white to go with the white HBL750 raceway! Copyright NameOfTheOrganization. 3 The HBL2000 Series Metal Raceway is a Single Channel / Service Raceway which is a larger capacity when compared to the HBL500 or HBL750 Series. The raceway lengths are sold in 5ft sections and are available in both Ivory and Gray. HBL2000 series raceway can be bought complete (base and cover packed together) or separately. There are 2 different covers offered for this series and the difference comes down to the thickness of the metal. The HBL2000Cxx (or HBL2000BCxx when buying both parts together) are the standard product which is rated for 300VAC max. For applications which involve voltages above 300VAC we offer the HBL2000CAxx (or HBL2000BCAxx when buying both parts together). The HBL2000CA cover is thicker and therefore raises the maximum voltage rating of the raceway to 600VAC. The HBL2000 series raceway uses device boxes for installation of power receptacles / data outlets etc. The range of boxes is limited to 1 and 2 gang device boxes. The line also includes a selection of the most common fittings things like elbows, tees, end caps, and cover clips. Flat elbows and Tee fittings are offered in a standard style for power wires as well as a bend radius version for data cables. The bend radius versions have a curved radius - instead of a sharp 90º turn which helps to maintain proper bend radii for data cables even in high density installations involving a large number of cables! 4 PlugTrak is a Pre-wired raceway which has the same outer profile as the HBL2000 Series Raceway. It is available in 5ft or 6ft lengths complete with either 15A or 20A outlets and is available in Ivory or Gray. Since it has the same outer dimensions as the HBL2000 series of raceway (PlugTrak is actually made from HBL2000 series raceway) ALL of the fittings etc for the HBL2000 series can be utilized with PlugTrak. This means used can join two pieces together using cover clips, end feed power to the PlugTrak entrance fittings, turn corners with elbows, etc etc. Whatever er you can do with HBL2000 series raceway can be done with PlugTrak! 5 The HBL2400 series raceway is a single channel raceway but with a couple of twists! t There are actually 2 versions of HBL2400 raceway the HBL2400 and the HBL2400D. HBL2400 is a single channel medium profile raceway ideally suited for single service applications where the customer only needs to run either power OR data cables. The twist with this product is that the devices mount DIRECTLY IN the raceway! No need for device boxes but they are available for customers who still prefer that option (use the undivided id d boxes with the HBL2400 series). In order to install a device directly in the HBL2400 raceway the customer simply orders the appropriate bracket and frame kit. HBL2400D is the same dimension as the HBL2400 but it has a twist. The HBL2400D has a permanent divider which splits the raceway into two channels (roughly a 70/30 split)! With the HBL2400D customers have a medium profile MULTI-SERVICE raceway a which allows them to run power AND data in a small package. This product is ideally suited for small installations where the customer requires power and a few data cables (would normally run the power wires in the smaller channel). Device are installed in device boxes and there are two styles so make sure to use the right one! The divided boxes are intended for use with the HBL2400D raceway. In addition to the raceway and device boxes this series includes a selection of the most commonly used fittings elbows, tees, end feed etc. Copyright NameOfTheOrganization. All rights reserved. 6

6 ALL Hubbell device boxes have a couple of features which set them apart from the competition! The first and biggest feature is our patented Handi- Screw. Most boxes use long screws that need to be lined up with a small hole on the backing plate of the box. The hole is hard to see especially once the device and wires are installed. Hubbell boxes have a threaded stand-off which is installed in the backing plate BEFORE the box goes on and the device goes in! To attach the box to the backing plate you simply need to align the holes in the box with the stand-offs and install the short screws! s! Beyond the Handi-Screw system every Hubbell box has rounded corners and one seam construction for a nice, clean look! We ve also designed our boxes to accept standard wall plates! 7 In the previous slides we mentioned that ALL of the metal raceway profiles we ve looked at in this module use special boxes to mount things like receptacles and data outlets. One important thing to note is that ALL of the boxes used with the HBL500/HBL750, HBL2000, and HBL2400/HBL2400D raceway products use STANDARD WALL plates. Most people use nylon plates as they are cheap and readily available but Hubbell also has a line of painted metal plates for customers who want something with a little more mechanical strength than a nylon plate! The device boxes available vary based on the raceway product. The HBL500/HBL750 series has the largest selection of device boxes. It includes everything from 1 gang device boxes to 6 gang boxes, as well as a variety of round boxes for light fixtures etc AND even RED boxes for fire alarm installations! The other profiles are limited to 1 and 2 gang square device boxes. Important Note: When installing ivory raceway you need to use Almond devices and Almond wall plates. 8 Hubbell s HBL500, HBL750, HBL2000, and HBL2400/HBL2400D series raceway profiles each include a large variety of fittings and device boxes to provide maximum flexibility for most any installation. The HBL2400 series also includes special frame kits which allow you to install devices directly in the raceway for a sleek, clean installation! Cutting Hubbell metal raceway can be done in a variety of ways. Customers can use a hack saw, a shop saw, a grinder with a cut off wheel, or they can use a Hubbell cutting tool! Got a chip or scratch in your raceway? Hubbell offers touch up paint for gray and ivory raceway and to make it super easy to fix those chips and scratches the touch up paint is in a pen form! 9 Another major benefit of Hubbell s metal raceway line-up are CSA certified transition fittings! These fittings allow Hubbell metal raceway to be installed in an existing Wiremold installation! No need to source Wiremold products, just install one of our transition fittings on the end of the existing raceway and then use Hubbell to finish the job!
