Currently living on the Mornington Peninsula, Geoff and Barb say living in Victoria during the cold and miserable winters wasn t an option for them any longer. "Geoff and I have travelled every winter for the past 11 years, spending up to five months away at a time," Barb says. "Last year we covered the eastern coast line in search of somewhere we would both be happy and Cooroy-Noosa was it. "We ultimately chose Cooroy for its location. It s perfectly positioned close to shopping, transport, hospitals and, do I need to say, the beautiful Noosa beaches that we love." Barb says she and Geoff have been eagerly watching progress on the Cooroy-Noosa site over the past weeks. "Because we have been lucky enough to purchase off the plan we have had the opportunity to choose all our home colours including our floor tiles, carpets, bench tops and window furnishings. Roll on mid-year, we can t wait to move into our new architecturally designed home!"

2 Sales office open for business The newest resort in the Group s nationwide portfolio, Palm Lake Cooroy-Noosa is finally underway with the site s sales office opening with a bang recently. According to Cooroy-Noosa sales manager Joanne Smith, interest in this outstanding resort in the beautiful Noosa Hinterland has been enormous. "Located in the friendly country town of Cooroy and only 25 minutes to the golden beaches of Noosa, this idyllic location offers the best of both worlds," Joanne says. "Deposits are now being taken for Stage 1 with 40 sites released and due for completion in early June this year." The Butter Factory is where you ll find many interesting and fun art classes to extend your art repertoire or even try a completely new hobby. A pottery, wheel work and hand building clay class will be held on Thursday April 14 from 9.30am under the watchful eye of potter Monika Juengling. For the kids, try award-winning artist Merrie Tomkins kids pottery classes on Saturday April 16, 23 and 30 from 10.30am (attend casually or book regular weekly classes for the term). The Butter Factory is at 10 Maple St, Cooroy. Visit Woodwork on show Pencil in your diary the Cooroora Wood and Craft Show. Held in the Cooroy Memorial Hall, Maple St, on May 6-7, the event will showcase some of the best woodworking artisans around. Visit THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO A fantastic day was had by all on a recent bus trip from Cooroy to Hervey Bay. The purpose of the bus trip was for invited guests to experience a fully built and active and everyone was suitably impressed. Cooroy-Noosa sales manager Joanne Smith says the trip started at the sales office at 8.30am. Guests were quickly on the road to their first stop at the historic town of Tiaro where everyone was able to stretch their legs, grab a cup of coffee and even squeeze in a browse of some nearby boutiques. Next stop, Hervey Bay. "Our bus was meet by the fabulous staff at Hervey Bay who made us all feel special and welcome," Joanne says. "Mark, the sales consultant at Hervey Bay, introduced everyone to the lifestyle, starting with a guided tour of the Oceans Country Club. Everyone said they couldn t believe a clubhouse could get any better than the one at Palm Lake Hervey Bay and were astounded by the fact that the Cooroy-Noosa s clubhouse would have even more world-class facilities! "It was then on to the beautifully presented display homes. Everyone was excited to be able to view a completed home and get a feel for the quality fixtures and fittings. The large, double lock-up garages were a big hit along with the landscaped gardens." After an eye-opening tour of the Hervey Bay grounds, the group enjoyed the hospitality of the host resort with roast lamb, veggies and all the trimmings for lunch and a beautiful strawberry mousse dessert. With full tummies, it was time to board the bus and head back home to Cooroy. "Everyone had a wonderful day," Joanne says. "So enjoyable was it, in fact, that we will be arranging another bus trip in April, this time up to Bargara." The almond meal offers good fats and mood-elevating amino acids and minerals, the cacao adds antioxidants and the chia seeds add more protein and omega-3 fatty-acids. In a food processor, combine on low speed the almond meal, rice malt syrup, coconut, coconut oil, chia seeds, cocoa and vanilla until just combined. You can also mix by hand, just make sure the coconut oil is in its liquid form. Press the mix into a small lined tray, sprinkle with salt (you may need to press the salt into the mix with the back of a spoon) and place in the fridge to set for 5-10 minutes. Once set, remove from the tin and chop into squares. Keep in a container in the fridge. Tip: These must be kept chilled or they will melt on a warm day. Variations: Peppermint slice: Add a few drops of peppermint essence for a delicious mint chocolate flavour. Hazelnut: Use hazelnut meal for a chocolate hazelnut slice.
