3 Estuary Group Support Integrated Approach SEP Severn Estuary Partnership Severn Estuary Forum Data & Information Sharing ASERA Association of Severn Estuary Relevant Authorities SEP is an independent, estuary-wide initiative providing support to many organisations who have responsibilities or interests in the Estuary. Secretariat Services BCSEG Bristol Channel Standing Environment Group Education & Awareness Raising ASERA are the statutory organisations around the Severn Estuary that collectively manage human activities within the Severn Estuary European Marine Site. SECG Severn Estuary Coastal Group BCSEG is the multi-agency group tasked with providing a single source of public health and environmental advice to response cells during a marine pollution incident. Coordination of Data Collection Sharing of Best Practice SECG works to promote sustainable shoreline management, and to facilitate the duties and responsibilities of local authorities and other organisations managing coastal protection & flood defence issues around the Severn Estuary. 5 Litter Free Coast and Sea is a community led campaign to protect bathing water quality and reduce marine and beach litter along the Somerset coast. The Litter Free Coast & Sea campaign started in Dorset in 2011 by the Dorset Coast Forum. Rolled out to Somerset following success in Dorset. Coordinated by Severn Estuary Partnership. Started in Somerset in January 2016, working specifically in Burnham on Sea Aimed at stopping pollution & litter at source by encouraging local communities to consider and reduce their own impacts on water quality and marine litter through events, campaigns and education. Funded by:

8 2016 Strategy Aims Update & streamline the 2001 Severn Estuary Strategy; Provide a strategic policy framework for the Severn Estuary; Provide context to inform and support decision-making; and, Facilitate the Marine & Coastal Act (2009) obligations related to crossborder integration, land-sea integration and taking an ecosystembased approach to management. Timeframe: 10 years (2026)
