1 Regional Transit s The Neighborhood Ride The Neighborhood Ride is a special shuttle service designed to meet the transportation needs of residents in select neighborhoods throughout the Sacramento region. The colorful buses are smaller in size than standard RT buses, and have the ability to easily maneuver through neighborhoods to shopping centers, community centers, medical offices and agencies. What makes The Neighborhood Ride unique is that it offers an added service called a route deviation. Shuttles may deviate or travel off the regular fixed route (up to ¾ mile) to pick up and drop off seniors (age 62 and older) and persons with disabilities who make advance reservations. To request a route deviation on The Neighborhood Ride, call The reservation line is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fare: $2.75 Basic single fare or $1.35 Discount single fare for seniors and persons with disabilities. RT monthly passes and daily passes are also accepted. 5 RT Contracted RT partners with local agencies to provide transportation alternatives for their residents and employers. RT currently operates the Rancho CordoVan for the City of Rancho Cordova, the North Natomas Flyer for the North Natomas Transportation Management Association, The McClellan Park Shuttle for the McClellan Business Park and the Citrus Heights City Ride for the City of Citrus Heights. 7 North Natomas Jibe Express Why Ride? Jibe is: Easy to use Neighborhood-friendly: Seats 30 Passengers Bike-friendly: Bike racks on all commuter shuttle buses A convenient link with other transportation options, such as SacRT, cycling or walking A great alternative to driving alone and saves on the cost of operating your vehicle Free on Spare the Air days RT operates the North Natomas Jibe Express, which provides fixed route bus service between North Natomas and downtown Sacramento during peak commute hours. In North Natomas, riders must flag the shuttle in a safe location for it to stop in many areas along the Eastside, Westside, Central and Midwest Routes. Timepoints marked with asterisk (stars) are for reference only. All four routes follow the same route once they enter downtown, where the shuttle makes scheduled stops only. Effective Wednesday, August 1, 2018, service changes will be implemented that affect Routes 170, 171, 172 and 174 (NEW). Route 173 -Square has been eliminated. Fare: $2.00 per ride SacRT fares are currently not accepted.
