Examples of conflicts that will be considered excused absences may include ACT, SAT, important club meets, etc. Please communicate scheduling conflicts as far in advance as possible.

4 Team Expectations Athletes are expected to: be present and punctual for scheduled workouts, meets, and team functions, have all required paperwork on file, have all required clothing and equipment for practices, use BHS- issued swim meet attire for BHS swim meets only, exhibit personal conduct that surpasses that of the general student population, avoid negative social media interactions that might embarrass themselves, family, teammates, BHS, and AISD, train and compete to the best of their abilities at all times, be well-groomed and appropriately dressed both at school and when representing the school at competitions, maintain passing grades in all academic work, treat all coaches, officials, athletes, facilities, and equipment with respect, and abide by all rules/regulations set forth in this handbook and the AISD student handbook. Athletes are expected to: arrive at designated time, Behavior at Meets have all required clothing and equipment for meets, warm up with team, turn off and store cell phones during meet, warm up/down before/after each race (when pool space is provided), speak with coach before/after each race, watch/support teammates in their events, remain with team throughout meet, and leave only after being released by coach. Parents are expected to: remain off pool deck unless involved in meet operations (timing, officiating, filming, etc.), support all BHS swimmers, treat all coaches, athletes, and officials with respect.

We have read and understand the information presented in this handbook. We understand that participating in extracurricular activities such as athletics is a privilege, not a guaranteed right. 6 Bowie HS Swimming & Diving Club Swimming Practice Attendance Please indicate which practices you plan to attend for each morning listed. If you are not attending high school practice, you should be at club practice (and vice versa). At least one high school practice must be indicated below. Schedules may be adjusted for holiday training, taper, club meets, etc. Any deviation from the below schedule must be cleared by coach in advance.
