5 EDUCATION Swim & Survive Royal Life Saving Society NT Branch would like to welcome the Goldfishbowl Swim School as a Swim and Survive Partner. The program is being used for the Goldfishbowl school programs. This means more school children are being exposed to the Swim and Survive program.

8 EDUCATION Swim & Survive Royal Life Saving NT is currently recruiting for new instructors. Our instructors all AUSTSWIM qualified & have flexible working hours during school time. 9 SPORT The Pool Lifesaving season got off to a good start with 17 participants braving the unseasonal chilly conditions at Casuarina Pool. Pool Lifesaving Free Come & Try Evening WHEN: 21 st September WHERE: Casuarina Pool TIME: 6 7pm The Royal Life Saving Society is holding a Come and Try Evening to showcase the sport of Pool Lifesaving.

10 Community - NT The Grey Medallion incorporates Water Safety Knowledge, Resuscitation and Emergency Care, Aquatic exercise and Personal Survival and Lifesaving skills. The aim of which to is to reduce drowning in older Territorians. Thanks to the Office of Senior Territorians for there assistance in these programs.

11 COMMUNITY August saw 9 senior Territorians participate in 2 aquatic programs at the g p p q p g Goldfishbowl in Coconut Grove for Senior s Month.. Cool Seniors is a fun event structured a round water including exercise and water skill development.

23 WSAP (Water Safety Awareness Program) WSAP Manager goes to the Gold Coast to present to other Infant Aquatic Instructors the fundamentals of the Water Safety program in and out of the water.

24 Water Safety Awareness Program Alice Springs Welcome on Board, Petina Franklin the newest member to our Royal Life Saving Team. Petina is based in Alice Springs and started her first day by delivering an Emergency Care session to the ladies at Congress in Alice Springs.

Shane works tirelessly at the Pirlangimpi Swimming Pool, Tiwi Islands as the Pool Manager. Shane is a huge benefit to the community and to the ISRP Program and I thank him for his commitment. 33 CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENT Floss and Bec attended the VELG 2011 National VET Conference on the 4th-5th August in Brisbane. The conference has a focus on Policy and sustainable business practices and teaching, learning and innovation. Over 500 delegates from RTO s across Australia attended the two days.
