4 a. USTOM STY OVR - Measurement Instructions Measurements are required for a freeform pool or pools that have had a prior safety cover. If you are replacing a safety cover, you will need to provide set of Measurements. st Set of Measurements is for the perimeter of your pool. nd Set of Measurements is to each anchor location. Start by sketching a diagram of the pool on paper. Include location and detail of your pool deck and any non-removeable obstructions, such as slides, dive stands, grab rails and ladders that lie within inches of pool edge.. Using chalk or masking tape to establish your plot line: Start from feet away from the pool edge, or feet away from the anchors if replacing a cover, plot a line along the length of the pool. The line should not interestect the pool in any direction and should be at least / the length of the pool.. Measure to each plot point from Point : ttach or have a partner hold one end of a tape measure at Point, measure to each point, starting at point one, and record in the corresponding box on the measuring form. ontinue measuring to each point around the pool perimeter and record each measurement.
