2 GENERAL INFORMATION. CEREMONIES. WATER POLO OPENING CEREMONY. On Sunday, 26 August 2018 at 7.30 PM, the Opening Ceremony for the water polo competition will commence. Live music, good drinks & tasty food will provide a great atmosphere. After activating your cashless card at the Info Centre, you will receive a coupon for free beer at the Opening Ceremony. Cheers! OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY OF THE EUROPEAN MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH THE PARADE OF NATIONS. On Sunday, 2 September 2018 at 7.30 PM, the Opening Ceremony and the Parade of Nations will commence in Kranj at the outdoor swimming pool. Enjoy the Opening Ceremony with an entertaining programme and represent your country at the parade. There will be no admission fee, food and beverages will be on sale at special rates. Welcome! CLOSING CEREMONY. The closing ceremony will take place in Kranj at outdoor pool on Friday, 7 September 2018, before the last event. Where others see difficulties, we see opportunities. NATIONS DINNER. Imagine a film scene of richly laden tables, pleasant socialising, happy people, small talk, idyllic scenery and exquisite music. On Wednesday, 5 September, at 7 PM in the old town centre of Kranj, you will be able to experience all of that in Kranj where two rich Slovenian traditions meet culture and cuisine. There is a minimum number of participants required. You will be contacted in case there will not be enough participants. Book your ticket here: You can book your ticket until 23 August, CHAMPIONSHIPS DIPLOMAS. The first three competitors in each discipline will receive medals, whereas competitors finishing from first to eighth place will receive a diploma. All diplomas will be available at the Information Centre after the Victory ceremony of the next discipline. You can also purchase your own participation diplomas at the Information Centre. If there are seats available, we offer you transportation from the Ljubljana Airport to your accommodation facilities and back. Bookings via transportation@emc2018.com SHUTTLE BUSES. The organising committee has prepared catering areas at all competition venues with a wide range of food (cold and warm) and drinks during the opening days of all venues. To activate the cashless card system on your accreditation you will need to pay 2 EUR. Each accompanying person will also be able to buy a cashless card for the price of 2 EUR, as it will be the only payment option for venue services. Credit top up s will be rounded on 5 EUR (for ex. 5, 10, 15, 20 etc.) and can be done by cash or POS (Maestro, Visa, MasterCard, Karanta, Amex) at the following locations: - Information Centre, Kranj - Catering area right next to the outdoor swimming pool in Championships Bar. - Kamnik, Jesenice and Bled venue for catering Refunds of the credit on the cashless card can only be given at the official Information Centre office until Sunday, September 9, 3 PM latest. Refunds can be also given at the Subinformation Centre in Jesenice (on 2 September until 2 PM) and in Kamnik (on 8 September until 2 PM). Swimming Competitors participating in 400 m and 800 m races need to confirm their participation to the Information Centre no later than 6 PM (18.00 hours) on the days prior to the event. Clubs participating in Relay Events need to confirm their participation and submit the names of the competitors and the swimming order at the Information Centre later than 6 PM (18.00 hours) on the days prior to the event.. Waterpolo 25 August 2018 at 6 PM at the Marshalling Area, Kranj (next to the outdoor swimming pool). At least one member of the team must be present and all of the passports must be brought, otherwise the team will be fined 100 EUR. Diving On 28 August 2018 at 4 PM for officials and at 5.30 PM for competitors at the Ukova swimming pool in catering area, Jesenice. Swimming On 1 September 2018 at 4 PM for officials and at 5 PM for competitors at the Marshalling Area, Kranj (next to the outdoor pool). Synchronised Swimming On 3 September 2018 at 4 PM for officials and at 5.30 PM for the competitors in Kamnik, next to the pool in the catering area. Open Water Swimming On 7 September 2018 at 6 PM for participants (or after finishing swimming) at the Marshalling Area, Kranj (next to the outdoor pool). ACCREDITATION. All competitors in each of the disciplines can get their accreditations in Kranj only at the Information Centre during opening hours. If you lose your accreditation, a new one costs 5 EUR. 6 DETAILED INFORMATION FOR EACH DISCIPLINE. WATERPOLO. Date: 26 August 31 August 2018 Venue: Kranj, outdoor and indoor swimming pools with 3 fields 1 outside, 2 inside. ACCREDITATION PICK UP. To pick up your accreditation, look for your Club and the number written next to it. Clubs with assigned numbers will be written at the Information Table next to the Information Centre. One member from your club (club representative) collects all accreditations for all your team members in the Information Centre from 24 August onwards. Do not forget to bring passport copies from each member of your team. You will get accreditations only with passport copies. TRAINING SCHEDULE. Training opportunities will be available on 25 August at the outdoor/indoor swimming pool. Upon availability you can still make a reservation for your training until 22 August 2018 at info@emc2018.com VICTORY CEREMONIES. Victory ceremonies will take place right after the final match or match for the third place by the competition pool where the match will be played. The first three teams of each age category will receive medals, whereas teams finishing from first to eight place will receive a diploma. All diplomas will be available at the Information Centre after the Victory ceremony of each discipline. The price for diploma is 5 EUR (for places after 8th). TECHNICAL MEETING. Lockers are available at the indoor and outdoor swimming pool in Kranj. You can purchase a key at the Information Centre or at the reception at the indoor pool.
