BTC is currently the largest tennis coaching program in Western Australia, coaching hundreds of children a week, including schools and communities within the Midwest and North Midlands regions. MISSION STATEMENT Colin Thompson provides a professional coaching experience that emphasizes a fun, social and safe environment to play tennis. Together with Tennis Australia, Tennis West, and Midwest Zone the BTC qualified coaches strive to increase tennis participation with all ages, standards, and ethnic backgrounds, not only within the coaching program, but also within the tennis clubs and schools throughout the Midwest and North Midlands regions. In conclusion, BTC will work extensively with all Midwest and North Midland s tennis clubs and schools to meet goals and objectives to further enhance tennis membership and participation. HISTORY Colin Thompson is the Sun Smart Tennis Development Officer for the Tennis West-Midwest Zone, is the Midwest Academy of Sport Coaching Effectiveness Program Coach and is also the Director of. started in Geraldton, commencing in BTC has been growing every year with participation rates increasing, with new tennis programs introduced, with international coaches joining our team and with coaching expansion into the North Midlands region. BTC has a genuine passion and proven interest in tennis, having coached tennis regionally, state, nationally, and internationally for the past twenty-one years.

Also includes Geraldton Tennis Club, Spalding Park Tennis Club, Binnu, Chapman Valley, Dongara, Northampton, Walkaway, and Yuna Tennis Clubs. BTC also amplifies its coaching into the North Midlands tennis district and schools. These include Carnamah, Coorow, Mingenew, Morawa, Perenjori, and Three Springs. BTC has an intricate involvement with 31 Primary Schools and 11 Secondary Schools. Finally, BTC ventures to Perth annually for state tennis tournaments and has also played in competition events throughout Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Alice Springs, Shepparton, Wodonga, and Tasmania. BTC PROGRAMS includes the following programs; Toddler Tennis (3-4-year old s), Pee Wee Tennis (5-7 Year Olds), before school, after school, juniors, Tennis Hot Shots, adults, Cardio Tennis, tennis racquets and grips, racquet restringing, hitting lessons, private lessons, squad tennis, holiday clinics, holiday camps, country coaching, Kids Tennis Foundation, Tennis-West Camps, Tennis in Schools and Tennis Australia programs and courses.

Working professionally with Tennis Australia, Tennis West, and the Midwest Zone, BTC strives to maintain all objectives and strategies for the future are achieved. 5 BTC RESULTS The Tennis West-Midwest Zone has had incredible success in regional events and championships. As the Head Coach for the Midwest Zone I have been involved in winning 11 regional championship titles, 10 runners-up placing and 5 third place finishes. Following the Zone s great results from a regional level, the Tennis West-Midwest Zone has had remarkable representation from a State level. A record of 17 Midwest and Batavia Tennis Coaching players have represented Western Australia in State teams. Finally, Nagle High School players representing the Midwest Zone and Batavia Tennis Coaching have won the State Schools Classic teams competition on 6 occasions and finishing Runners Up on 1 occasion.
