The Bears are coming off an loss to the No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners on Sunday in Norman, Okla. The game will be broadcast at approximately 8:30 p.m. mountain time immediately following the men s basketball game against Bowling Green. Northern Colorado was in danger of setting the new school record for lowest points scored, when they trailed with just over a minute left to play. But senior forward Heather Barbour converted on a 3-point play to help the Bears fi nish with 36 points, which is their lowest output since the season when they lost to Iowa State, It was the second time this season the Bears fi nished with under 40 points. The other game was the loss to Illinois on Nov. 22. Oklahoma was the highest-ranked opponent Northern Colorado has ever faced at No. 3 in most major polls. Northern Colorado s previous highest-ranked opponent was last season against national champion Maryland, who was fourth at the time of the contest.
