DEVELOPMENT OF MODEL SETTING VOLLEYBALL FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL KHUROTUL AINI Universitas Negeri Jakarta Jalan Rawamangun Muka Jakarta ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to produce development of model setting volleyball for junior high school. In addition, this research was conducted to obtain further information about: the development and application of model setting volleyball for junior high school, and knowing the effectiveness, efficiency and appeal of the development of model setting volleyball for junior high school. The design of this research was using Borg and Gall s Research and Developmental model.the instrument used in this research were questionnaires to collect the data on: (1) need assessment, (2) evaluation from experts (initiation product evaluation), (3) limited trial (trial in small group); and (4) the main trial (field testing). The result of model setting volleyball between pretest and posttest has t O score = more than t t score= 1,796, so the null hypothesis was rejected, and the mean of pretest score (x1) = smaller than the mean of posttest score (x2) = 13.92Based on the results of this research can be concluded that: (1) with development of model setting volleyball for junior high school, students can learn effectively and efficiently (2) with the development of model setting volleyball for junior high school that has been develop, students more motivated as well as active in following the process of learning. Key words: need assessment, model setting volleyball, effectively. Volleyball is a sport is popular among the people of Indonesia from the bottom to the top of the sport according to Ahmadi Volleyball is a complex game that is not easily done by everyone, because in the game volleyball required movement coordination can really count on to do all the movements that exist in the game of volleyball. However this does not preclude the public to learn more in depth in the excitement that occurs in high society. 1

Another else of volleyball according by Athanasious Papageorgiou which states volleyball is a game that is suitable for both sexes and for players af all ages and abilities and can be adapted to allow players with a physical or mental disability to play at a competitive level. Games can be played both men and women event for people with special needs to agree course the degree of difficulty in competing. Viera and Fergusson stated this game quickly attract attention because it just takes a bit of skill basic, easily mastered in a short of time and can exercise performed by players with different levels of fitness. We can see find the volleyball game inter village, known as the village make volleyball game is so popular among the people. According Atmasubrata volleyball is sports played by two opposing group. Group had six players and there is also a beach variations volleyball group only two played. Volleyball are clearly defined facilities and infrastructure can still be changed flexibly by looking at the circumstances that surround the community. Then explanation based of the theories above. Volleyball is game played team by 6 people playing the ball into the area net over as opposed to obstacles and trying to win game by touring off the ball in a way or a certain technique. According Ahmadi, the basic of volleyball names techniques in volleyball game consists of a service, underhand pass and setting, block, and smash. Basic technique contained volleyball effects the persons skills in the game of the volleyball. The observations conducted a needs analysis found one of the junior high school (secondary school) in Probolinggo motivated follow the material setting volleyball. So that the results of the above observations of teachers and students need models of passing on the new volleyball, motivate students also can add the quality of passing technique above. Based on the above background, the researchers will conduct development model setting volleyball for age junior (junior high school). 2

Concept Model Development The research method is basically a scientific way to get the data achieve certain goals and can be uses specific. In the world of education, research has a purpose to solve problems that occur with the answer scientific. Setyosari saids the study is a way that precise and very useful in valid obtaining information and can be for accounted. The relevant research methods and always can be used, namely the development of research and development (R&D). Winarno explains research is the development of research that seeks to develop specific products according to the needs of the new community. Research and development is now widely used to solve problems in the world of education, this study expected to help a teacher to solve problems. As dictated Semiawan that mention research and development is the border of qualitative approaches, especially to bridge the gap between research and practice of education. Serves as a bridge into the path of course a teacher learness to reach the end of the bridge the purpose of education. Additionaly Sugiyono mentions that research and development is research used to produce a particular product, and test the effectiveness of these products. Result product can be of the result development of long products developed further or new products. Sukmadinata states research and development is a process or steps to develop a new product or improve existing products that can be for accounted. By focusing on the development of education in the field of design or design whether it is a model, and the design of teaching materials product such as the media and also the process. Examples of the development materials teaching are textbooks, teaching aids, and other module. The research and development is conducted research based fields needs analysis, which will uses the basis for drafting a development and will produce a new product development or improvement of existing products. 3

Concept Model Developed Physical education is an education that is done through physical activity as a bridge to achieve the goal. To achieve these objectives is certainly necessary to model innovation. Model development is one form of the application a systems approach in activities learning that in fact have a systematic process that results in a learning system that is ready to be used exactly as the model development. The result of the development they should module gradual, through and comprehensive in order to enhance student competencies. Sugiyono Stated to produce certain products that used research and need analysis to the test effectiveness of product these so that can be function in the wider community. Analysis of this requirement applies in determining the model developed in this study so that the results match those needed by students in the learning process. The Theoretical Characteristics Characteristic Junior High School Characteristics of Junior High School between from years. Developments are a period included in adolescence. Sugiono mentions adolescence is a period of transition from childhood into adulthood. This period occurs, The rapid growth although tad slower than girl. For girls the ages of 8,5 until 11,5 years with can average 12,5 years, while for males between the age of 10,5 until 14,5 and reached the peak on average at 14,5 until 15,5 years. Here s a puberty that occur boys and girls. Picture 1. Puberty that Occur Boys And Girls. 4

Psikologi Perkembangan Suatu Pendekatan Sepanjang Rentang Kehidupan terjemahan Istiwidayanti dan Soedjarwo, (Jakarta: Erlangga, 2002), h Based on the picture shows that there are differences that occur during puberty boys and girls, where childhood for women only lasts until the age of 11 years and experiencing puberty 11 until 25 years, while the boy childhood occur until the age of 12 years and just hit puberty at the age range of 12 to 16 years. Setting Volleyball The basic techniques in the game volleyball are passing. Subroto and Yudiana said Passing the volleyball game is a term to play the first ball after the ball in play as a result of the attack the opponent, the opponent service, or net game (cover spike and cover block). Kinds passing are two types, setting and underhand pass are stages that must be known the attitude of the beginning stages attitude and the attitude of the implementation. A B C Picture 2. 6 On the basic technique of passing, especially passing on the to have attitude of preparation, whereas the normal ready attitude in playing volleyball is making gestures so that makes it easy to quickly move to the designed direction. Based on this can be explained that the whole body must be in balance in order to coordinate so as to move in the desired direction in the shortest possible time. Normal attitude when going to passing on the stand with one foot in front, knees slightly learning slightly forward with your hands in front of chest, as will be passing on to put himself under the ball and both hands up front approximate about as high forehead, fingers forming a circle, the radius stressed slightly to one another and both thumbs to form a corner. Picture 3. Attitude of Preparation Source: Research Document. b. Approve Attitude Ball Stages in Passing Technique The stage of an attitude when approve with ball. Approve the ball on the finger is on the first and second segments, especially in the first and second phalanx of the middle finger, index finger and thumbs the first segment. At the time of thumb touched the ball, the fingers slightly tensed slightly and at the same time followed by the movement of the wrist, upper arm towards the front rather explosive. 6

METHOD Design models in research development using a model of the Borg and Gall Quoted from the Sugiyono which has the following steps: Potential and assessment Data Collection Design Product Design validation Consumption test Revison Product Trial Product Design Revision Revison Product Massal Product Picture 6. Step Research and Development (R & D), Source: Sugiyono, Metode Penelitian Pendidikan, Pendekatan Kuantitatif, Kualitatif, dan R & D, 2008, h.298. The next step is the stages are carried out in model development steps taken in the research study and the development of this model through the following stages: a. The first phase of the evaluation conducted on stage program form models by experts, the initial evaluation is the first assessment of the expert to: (1) Determine whether the model is accordance with the characteristics of junior high school, (2) Whether the model developed exercise suitable for students, (3) Whether the model developed exercises suitable for students before tasted. b. The second phase of the evaluation conducted on staged group trial. In the evaluations by the results of student response to the model n the test phase was carried out by students on about: (1) The model is easy to learn, (2) The model safely performed, (3) Attractive models performed, and (4) Useful models for junior high school model. The result of the student s responses on the model development model that has been implemented is the model for the evaluation of product retirements junior high school before the model in field tests in heterogeneous ability groups and large number of students. 8

c. Stage of the final evaluation performed on the stages of field testing a large and heterogeneous group level skill. Results response students on the same model as the previous stage evaluation questions that will be a revision of the results of the product refinement passing implemented models top volleyball to the students. RESULT AND DISCUSSION Results and discussion based on the results of testing the effectiveness of using t-test of the difference in the results of the basic skills of passing on volleyball between pretest with posttest price obtained to=4.512 is greatest than the price tt=1.796 (at 0.05 significance level), then the hypothesis is rejected and the average value pretest (x1 (x2)= It can be concluded that there are significant differences between pretest and posttest results passing up basic skills of volleyball. From the research data, the average price obtained pretest (x1)=12,76 less than the average posttest (x2)= This it can be stated that, upon passing models for children aged junior volleyball effectively used to improve the results of passing skills on volleyball. CONCLUSION From the results of field testing and discussion of the results of this study concluded: 1. Based on the results of expert evaluation and testing that has been done late or final model is obtained passing on this volleyball include, (1) Model 1 snakes and rats (2) ball press (3) Double passing with cans (4) Model 4 passing target (5) Model 5 Bouncing wall (6) Model 6 Hurdle Dolphin (7) Model basket ball (8) Model 8 passing confined (9) Model 9 Tufted Rope Barriers (10) Model Take the ball (11) Model 11 ball in the circle (12) Model 12 Bomb cans (13) Model 13 feed each other (14) Model Target-Rise (15) Model 15 Race ball (16) Model 16 ball trophy (17) Model 17 There in one (18) Model 18 Running side (19) Model 19 call name friends (20) Model 20 Bomb- boman (21) Model 21 berpoin field (22) Model Volleyball box, and (23) well fortified. 2. Based and the test results of the effectiveness of the model, proven empirically that product results in the form of models for passing over the age of students. This has a very effectiveness. It was based on the results passing on volleyball big results than average pretest results. So it can be stated that, the model passing over the age of junior. Volleyball for junior, implications Based on overall conclusion of the 9
