ABOUT THE BILLIKENS -- Saint Louis enters tonight s game The Billikens are coming off a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Tulsa last Sunday. On opening weekend, the Billikens defeated No. 5 Wake Forest 1-0 before falling 3-0 at No. 8 North Carolina. -- Saint Louis is ranked No. 28 in the country by College Soccer News. The Billikens are receiving votes in the NSCAA poll and are ranked No. 5 in the NSCAA Midwest Region. -- The Billikens were picked to finish first in the Atlantic 10 Conference coaches preseason poll for a fourth consecutive season. -- The Billikens are led in scoring by sophomores Anthony Brown and Grant Owens, who have three points (1G, 1A) apiece. -- Freshmen Saadiq Mohammed and Leo Novaes were selected to the A-10 preseason All- Rookie team. -- There are 16 newcomers to the roster, including nine true freshmen. TWO BILLIKENS NAMED A-10 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Saint Louis has collected both Atlantic 10 Conference men s soccer Offensive Player of the Week awards that have been issued so far this season. -- On Tuesday, Grant Owens was named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week for his goal against Tulsa. In the second half, Owens buried a cross from Anthony Brown to tie the score at On Aug. 29, Brown was tabbed the A-10 Offensive Player of the Week for a dramatic gamewinning goal at No. 5 Wake Forest. The goal was selected as the College Goal of the Week on TopDrawerSoccer.com. OTTE AMONG TOP KEEPERS IN COUNTRY -- Junior goalkeeper Sascha Otte is fourth in the NCAA with seven saves per game. -- Among all active NCAA Division I goalkeepers, Otte is fourth in the nation with 20 career shutouts. He is the only junior ranked among the top 10 in the category. Eric Klenofsky (Monmouth) is the NCAA s active leader with 28 career shutouts. -- Otte has a career record and a 1.03 career goals against average. He has played every minute for the Billikens since his freshman year, with the exception of last year s Senior Night game when David Andre played for the Bills.

The two-time A-10 Coach of the Year has a record of McGinty has coached 10 Billikens who have been selected in the MLS Draft. -- Former Billiken Brian Grazier ( ) is in his third season as an assistant coach. Another former Billiken, Michael Robson ( ), is in his second season as an assistant under McGinty. SCOUTING MARQUETTE -- The Marquette University Golden Eagles enter tonight s match with a 3-1 record. -- The Golden Eagles dropped their first game of the season 4-0 against Kentucky, but they have since been one of the most explosive teams in the country. Marquette has scored four goals in each of its last three games - all victories - against Northern Illinois, Illinois-Chicago and Northwestern. -- Luka Prpa leads the team and is second in the NCAA with 15 points (5G, 5A). He is the reigning NSCAA National Player of the Week. -- Last season, Marquette finished overall and in BIG EAST play.
