The Weber State volleyball team made history with the best start in school history starting out the season with a 9-0 record. The Wildcats currently have a 13-4 overall record and are 4-4 in Big Sky Conference play and are looking to come up ahead in Big Sky play. The Wildcats are coming off a split weekend taking down Idaho at home in four sets and falling in three sets to Idaho State on the road. Head Coach Jeremiah Larsen is in his second season leading the Wildcats and brought back his two assistant coaches Kayla Walker and David Gannon. Weber State volleyball was picked ninth in the preseason coaches poll and currently sits at No. 4 in the Big Sky south division standings. THOMPSON LEADS THE WAY Thompson led the Wildcats to a 1-1 Big Sky record this weekend. She posted an impressive effort averaging 3.42 kills per set and 1.71 blocks per set. She had a.488 hitting percentage on the weekend with 24 total kills and only two attack errors. Against Idaho, Thompson led the Wildcats to their first win over Idaho since Against the Vandals she posted an impressive 14 kills off of 24 attacks for a.480 percentage while adding eight blocks including four solo

3 HEAD COACH JEREMIAH LARSEN blocks. Thompson went into the weekend sitting at No. 2 in the NCAA national rankings in blocks per set. She followed that up with another solid performance in a three-set loss to Idaho State, totaling 10 kills off of 20 attacks and no hitting errors for a.500 percentage for the match high. She also added four blocks to the Wildcats defensive efforts. SERIES HISTORY - NORTHERN COLORADO This will be the 30 meeting between Weber State and Northern Colorado. The Bears lead the series 20-9 and the Wildcats are currently on a one match losing streak. The last time the two teams met up was in 2015 where the Wildcats fell in three sets in Greeley. Weber State has a 3-9 record when taking on Northern Colorado in Ogden and are looking to pick up their first home win since SERIES HISTORY - NORTH DAKOTA This will be the 7th meeting between Weber State and North Dakota. The Fighting Hawks lead the series 6-0 and the Wildcats are currently on an six match losing streak. The last time the two teams met up was in 2015 where they faced off in Fargo. UND picked up a three set win over WSU. Weber State is 0-3 when taking on the Fighting Hawks in Ogden and are looking to pick up their first win over North Dakota in school history. Overall Record: (.422) Big Sky Record: 6-18 (.250) Jeremiah Larsen was named the head coach of the Weber State volleyball program in January Larsen is the 10th head coach in Weber State history and comes to WSU with more than 10 years of coaching and recruiting experience. Larsen, a native of West Valley City, Utah is in his second year as the head coach of the Wildcat volleyball program in his first year at the helm of the Wildcat volleyball program the team recorded a 6-22 overall record and a 2-14 Big Sky Conference record. Larsen also helped his team to the pre-season CEFCU Classic tournament title. Before coming to Weber State he spent four seasons on the staff at Utah State previous to coming to Weber State. The last two years at USU he served as the Associate Head Coach. He was the recruiting coordinator with the Aggies, in addition to overseeing the team s defensive scouting and statistical analysis and analytics. Under his leadership, the Aggies twice finished in the top 10 in the nation in blocking. He was part of the USU team that won the 2012 Western Athletic Conference championship. ABOUT - NORTHERN COLORADO The Bears are currently 12-8 overall on the season and 6-2 in Big Sky Conference play. UNC is coming off a three set win over Montana. Northern Colorado averages kills per set and have amassed a total of 2,716 attacks on the year for a.224 hitting percentage. The Bears average digs per set and1.66 blocks per set. UNC is sitting at No. 26 in the national in team attacks per set. The Bears are led by Kortney Lockey who averages 3.26 kills per set and has recorded 235 total kills on the season off of 731 attacks. She has a.205 hitting percentage on the season. Makenna Meier leads Northern Colorado in digs. She averages 4.48 digs per set and has 327 total on the season. Alex Kloehn leads UNC in blocking with 52 total and averages.74 blocks per set. Ashlie Guthrie is sitting at No. 26 in the nation in assists per set averaging ABOUT - NORTH DAKOTA The Fighting Hawks are currently 15-8 overall and 7-1 in the Big Sky Conference are are coming off a three set win over Montana. UND has a league-best six-match winning streak heading into this week. North Dakota sits atop the Big Sky North Division at the halfway point, tied for the overall No. 1 seed with NAU. North Dakota leads the conference in digs per set with17.06 average. UND averages kills per set and have amassed a total of 3,076 attacks on the season. They currently are hitting.224 on the season. The Fighting Hawks average 2.48 blocks per set. UND s Chelsea Moser leads the Fighting Hawks with a 2.70 kills per set average.
