1 hysical Well-Being & Motor Development Group Observation KRA Sample tem/scenario DRECTONS: Read the scenario and score the children using the rubric below. SCENARO: Earlier in the week Mrs. Brady s class practiced fire drill procedures. The class had practiced listening to the bell, quietly lining up at the door, walking quietly through the hallway to the nearest exit, and exiting the building to their designated spot at the far edge of the playground. Mrs. Brady decided that today they were going to practice their fire drill procedures again to get ready for the school-wide fire drill scheduled for Friday. Mrs. Brady announced to the class that when they heard the bell, they were to line up quickly and quietly and wait for further instructions. A few minutes later Mrs. Brady rang the bell. Billy, Susie, Michaela, Jenny, Matthew, Jake, and Emily immediately put their work down then quickly and quietly walked to the door and waited in line. When Mrs. Brady reminded Courtney, Ben, Eva, and Roma to line up, they put down their work, moved to the door, and waited quietly in line. Mrs. Brady reminded the rest of the class that they needed to put down their work and line up quietly at the door. After the second reminder, Jonathan, Ryan, and Siena headed to the door to line up. Derek and Julia were sitting on the floor in the math corner playing a game. When Mrs. Brady reminded them that they needed to come to the door, Julia said, Not yet. We re not done with our game. Mrs. Brady walked over to the children, spoke to them quietly, and the three of them walked over to the door. Once the class was all lined up, they went into the hallway and exited the building. Billy, Susie, Michaela, Jenny, Matthew, Jake, Emily, Courtney, Jonathan, Ryan, and Ben followed Mrs. Brady to their designated meeting spot and waited quietly in line. As soon as Eva, Roma, Julia and Derek stepped onto the playground they began skipping in circles and giggling. Mrs. Brady reminded them to stand quietly in line and wait for the After the reminder Eva and Roma did as they were asked. Julia and Derek raced for the slide.
