It is imperative that all Portable Soccer oals be used only in accordance with safety guidelines contained in these instructions as well as those found on the safety warning labels attached to the goals. ailure to do so can cause serious injury or death. NOTIC: TS PORTABL ALUMINUM SOCCR OALS MT ASTM SATY AND PRORMANC STANDARD IMPORTANT SATY INSTRUCTIONS! 1. Check for structural integrity and proper connection hardware before every use. Replace damaged or missing parts or fasteners immediately. 2. nsure safety/warning labels are clearly visible. 3. Securely anchor or counterweight movable soccer goals at ALL times following the instructions in this manual. Bison Soccer oals with No-Tip feature if properly installed require no additional loose ballasts or hold down anchors. 4. Always instruct players, managers, coaches, trainers, teachers, maintenance and all other personnel who might come into contact with the goal on the safe handling of and potential dangers associated with movable soccer goals. 5. Always exercise extreme caution when moving goals and allow adequate manpower to move goals of varied size and weights. Movable soccer goals should only be moved by authorized and trained personnel. 6. NVR allow anyone to climb on the net or goal framework. 7. Movable soccer goals should only be used on LVL fields, NVR on a slope or hill area. 8. Remove nets when goals are not in use unless area is secure. 9. Most of the tip over injuries occurred when goals were unattended. Anchor or chain one goal to another or to nearby fence posts, dugouts, or any other similar sturdy fixture when not in use. If this is not practical, store movable soccer goals in a place where children cannot have access to them. 10. ully disassemble goals for seasonal storage, if practical. Use item M Auger old Down or loose ballast bags on other goals 1. Lay one Crossbar (A) and one L and one R Upright (B) on a flat surface with the slots facing upwards. The end of the Uprights (B) with the crossbar attachment tubes on the end should be adjacent to the ends of the Crossbar (A). See igure 1. CAUTION!! Make sure the crossbar is completely inserted into the uprights. Measure the goal opening before drilling. 2. Slide the ends of the Crossbar (A) into the openings of each Upright (B). Using the pilot holes drill a 5/16 hole through the Upright (B) and through one wall of the Crossbar (A). Use the 3/8 Self Threading ex Bolts (C) to fasten the Uprights (B) to the Crossbar (A). NOTIC! Use care when tightening the 3/8 Self Threading ex Bolts (C). Do not over tighten! See igure With the Crossbar/Upright assembly still lying on the ground, insert the two ends of the Bent Backstay Tube () into the two attachment tubes located on the top and bottom of the Uprights (B). Install and tighten a 5/16 X 2 3/4 ex Bolt (D) and a 5/16 Nylon Lock Nut () in both Bent Backstay Tubes (). See igure 2 and 4. I YOU PURCASD OALS WIT BISON NO-TIP BALLAST ATUR: 4. ill each Ballast Drum (O) completely with sand, making sure the sand is compacted. They should hold approximately lbs. of sand each. Once full, install the Plugs (P) and tighten securely to ensure there is no sand escaping. See igure On each end of the Backstay Spreader Tube (), slide one Locking Collar (Q) followed by one Ballast Drum (O) and another Locking collar (Q). See igure Install and tighten T Connector () to each end of the Backstay Spreader Tube () using the 5/16 X 2 3/4 ex Bolt (D) 5/16 Nylon Lock Nut (). See igure Using the 5/16 U-Bolts () and the 5/16 Nylon Lock Nuts () assemble the T Connector () around the angled portion of the Backstay Spreader Tube () close to the radius bend. See igure 3 and Locate the center of the Ballast Drum (O) approximately 4 from each Bent Backstay Tube () and tighten the Locking collars (Q). Insure that the Ballast Drum (O) will rotate freely. See igure With the fully assembled soccer goal in the upright playing position, make sure that all Ballast Drums (O) are sitting on the playing surface. Tighten the 5/16 U-Bolts () to secure the Backstay Spreader Tube () to the Bent Backstay Tube (). 10. Proceed to Instruction 14. 2

3 I YOU PURCASD OALS WITOUT BISON NO-TIP BALLAST ATUR: 11. Connect a T Connector () to each end of the Backstay Spreader Tube () using the 5/16 x 2 3/4 ex Bolt (D) and 5/16 Locknut (). See igure Attach the assembly in 11 above to the bottom of the Bent Backstay Tube () using the 5/16 U-Bolts () and the 5/16 Locknuts (). See igure Tighten the 5/16 U-Bolts () with the Backstay Spreader Tube () as far to the rear as possible unless you are leaving clearance to have the soccer goal be positioned under a football goalpost. 14. Install Net Attachment Clips (K) into the slots in each Upright (B), and each Crossbar (A). The Net Attachment Clips (K) slip into the slot and twist 90 into position with the opening to the outside of the goal. You have been provided enough net attachment clips to position one every and still have extras depending on the size of your goal. 15. Drape the net over the Bent Backstay Tubes () and attach to the Net Attachment Clips (K) on the rear face of the goal. Position clips to suit. A rope is woven into the net behind the top front to attach to the left hand and right hand backstays to help support the net. Use roll of ook and Loop Net astening Strap (N) to attach the bottom of the net to the lower backstay tubes. Cut to length needed. 16. Drape the net above the Bent Backstay Tubes () and attach to the Net Attachment clips (K) on the rear face of the goal. Attach the net to the Bent Backstay Tubes () with the ook and Loop Net astening Straps (N) where the Net Clips (K) are not present. Position clips to suit. A rope is woven into the net 4 behind the top front to attach to the left hand a right hand backstays to help support the net 17. When the goal is positioned for play, the rear bottom edge of the net can be staked to the ground using the Net round Stakes (L). WARNIN! OAL TIPOVR CAN CAUS SRIOUS INURY OR DAT, PLAS CARULLY RAD AND UNDRSTAND INSTRUCTIONS 18 AND Prior to play, the rear of the goal must be secured to prevent accidental tip over. All Bison portable goals are provided with Auger oal old Downs (M) that should be used on natural fields. If goal is to be used on a surface that does not allow use of auger type hold downs, weight must be added to each rear corner of the goal. These weights must be capable of staying in place even in the case of ordinary contact with the goal during play. Order Bison SC34BI ballast inserts to permanently install weight in the back stay tube of SCNOTIP No Tip Soccer oal Safety System. 19. Position the Auger oal old Downs (M) near the rear radius of the left hand and right hand backstays. Once the augers are fully rotated into the ground, clip the chain around the side of the backstays. See igure Use of optional soccer post padding is recommended to reduce the risk of player contact injury. CAUTION!
