November 2013 The indifferent weather that sees Autumn turn into Winter was not to bad on our midweek fixtures with Hullbridge Sports playing London Apsa on Tuesday night. After reaching the last 64 in the F A Vase for the first time in their history, Hullbridge Sports FC have an all ESL tie having drawn Great Wakering Rovers at Burroughs Park which brought back memories of season when Stansted beat Heybridge Swifts at the same round en-route to victory at Wembley! On a bitterly cold night, Kurtis Clarke put Hullbridge Sports ahead in 12 mins then super sub Liam Nash made it 2-0 with four minutes to go. Despite pulling one back through Fayed Nyanja on 88 mins, Hullbridge Sports held on for victory. The other F A Vase tie is Haringey Borough v Brantham Athletic, the latter having knocked out Stansted in a F A Cup replay earlier in the season. Haringey Borough met Tooting and Mitcham in the London Senior Cup but despite a well deserved Bradley O'Donovan goal ten minutes from time lost 1-5. A closer defeat was met by Barking who entertained AFC Wimbledon in the same competition and scored twice through Luke Foster 30 mins and Ben O'Brien 75m but could not contend with Charlie Sheringham who scored a hat-trick for a 3-2 win,. Enfield 1893 went out of their Middlesex Senior Cup 2-4 at home to Wembley. The weather caused four games to be postponed but by far the best attendance of the day was at Goldsdown Road where Enfield 1893 met Clapton, John Bricknell opened in the 13th minute with a penalty which is how it stood at half time, He quickly added one more just two minutes into the second half and a Billy Jones duo in 73m and 85 mins made it 4-0 for the Blue and Whites. Reece Dobson was on form once again for Takeley at Mayesbrook Park where Barking went 2-0 up at half time with goals from Lamar Reynolds 28m and 35 mins but Dean Nyman pulled one back on 48 mins followed by two from leading scorer, Dobson on 50m and 55m. Michael Richardson added a further goal for the visitors on 66 mins and then Dumebi GB Dumaka brought Barking back into the reckoning with a goal on 69 mins but the points went to Takeley. London Bari met Greenhouse London at the Old Spotted Dog and a very close encounter ensued with the winning goal for the visitors not arriving until 84 mins when Conor O'Leary scored, 0-1. London Apsa and FC Romania met at Terence McMillan Stadium and victory went to FC Romania with goals by Florin Pelecaci right on half time and Andre Simian after 82 mins,. Sporting Bengal United hosted Ilford at Mile End Stadium and it was a case of a late late show with Besmir Hoxhaj's 83rd min goal for Ilford matched by Aaron Hutchings for the homeside just two minutes later for a 1-1 draw. Also, responsible for a 1-1 draw at Hargrave Park, were Stansted and Southend Manor. Ryan Barker-Francis opened for the Airportmen on 36 mins but Mark Sisson replied for Southend Manor on 75 mins, Rob Errington
