4 F I R S T T E A M PHOTO : PAUL LEECH The first team played four league fixtures in October, beginning with a narrow home defeat to league leaders Coggeshall Town. We returned home from an evening fixture on October 9th at Whitton United with an emphatic 9-0 victory that included hat-tricks for both Mark Ray and Aaron Churchyard. Mark Ray was amongst the goals again, scoring twice in a 4-1 away win at March Town United before Town completed the month with a fine league victory over second placed Stowmarket Town. A goalless draw in the First Division Knockout Cup away at Framlingham Town resulted in the home side progressing to the next round winning 6-5 on penalties. In the Suffolk Senior cup four more goals from Mark Ray saw Town progress to the next stage at the expense of Team Bury. In November, Woodbridge have four fixtures scheduled, two in the Thurlow Nunn League. The month begins with a visit to Felixstowe & Walton United in the league cup. The visit to Downham Town on Saturday 5th has been postponed due to Under 18 s county call-ups four five of our squad. On Saturday 12th we play our only home fixture of the month, hosting Cornard United. On Friday 18th at 7:45pm we meet Framlingham Town for the third time this season, on this occasion an away fixture contesting the third round of the Suffolk Senior Cup. We complete the month on Saturday 26th with a league visit to Kings Lynn Town Reserves. 4
