Of interest on the sailing front: There are no committee boat starts this year and there is no racing on the Monday, which is Carnival Day. Orford Day is on the Thursday.

Of interest on the social front: This year we are holding a Caribbean Themed Regatta Welcome Party which will start immediately after the afternoon racing on the Sunday.

2 Essential Info Welcome to AYC Regatta 2017 sponsored by Sailing Photography by Gill Moon Racing is taking place on five days, from Sunday 20th to Friday 25th but not including Monday 21st, Carnival Day. The schedule of starts as proposed at the time of writing is shown on the centre pages but this may change, depending on entry numbers, as permitted in the Sailing Instructions. Of interest on the sailing front: There are no committee boat starts this year and there is no racing on the Monday, which is Carnival Day. Orford Day is on the Thursday. As in previous years Orford Sailing Club has extended their warm hospitality to us which is lovely. Of interest on the social front: This year we are holding a Caribbean Themed Regatta Welcome Party which will start immediately after the afternoon racing on the Sunday. Free entry to all Regatta entrants and AYC members - many thanks to Suffolk Hideaways for their support. Riverview will be formally opened during the Regatta Welcome Party. Class Dinners are on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, as detailed elsewhere in this brochure. These are a big part of the regatta so please come along and do sign up in good time. The Family Fun day is taking place at AYC on the Thursday. There will be an entertainer and bouncy castle for the children, followed by a high tea. Prize Giving will follow the afternoon racing on the Friday and the regatta will close with the ever popular Regatta Ball on the Saturday the theme this year is The Oscars. Gill will be on the water during the Junior & Youth Regatta and the AYC Regatta Images available online Things you need to know... 5 We are delighted that Suffolk Hideaways are sponsoring the Junior & Youth Regatta and the AYC Regatta. There will be two new cups to compete for The Suffolk Hideaways Junior Tankards will be awarded to the winning crew of the Feva Series. The Suffolk Hideaways Senior Tankards will be awarded to K6 Class winners on Orford Day Race. Thanks to their generous support there will be a goody bag for everyone participating in the Junior & Youth Regatta. For the first time the Parents and Helpers drinks party will become a bigger fixture at Junior & Youth Regatta. The AYC Regatta will kick off with a Caribbean-themed party on the Sunday evening.
