1 STONE SAILING CLUB GENERAL Situated on the south side of the Blackwater Estuary between Bradwell and Stansgate Point, the Stone Sailing Club occupies a commanding position with sailing at all stages of the tide. The object of the club is the encouragement of amateur dinghy/yacht racing/sailing. The Club has been in existence for over 65 years and careful planning has ensured that the facilities have grown alongside the membership. These include ample changing accommodation, good galley and bar facilities and carefully organised racing and support boat facilities. Racing is divided into: Superfast - Asymmetric Monohulls - Fast and Slow & Symmetric Catamarans Junior Fleets (Under 18) - Cadets, Toppers Keelboat Fleet - Squibs, K6 and Cruisers Rowing Boats The thriving Junior Section is organised for sailors under 18 years of age. We have a squadron of International Cadets, Toppers and Lasers. We have a good Squib and Cruiser section, entry being subject to the availability of moorings. We also have a Guest/Rowers Membership, which allows non sailors to come and enjoy the club facilities.
