3 Data Protection The information you provide in this form will be used solely for dealing with you as a member of Highcliffe Sailing Club. The club has a Data Privacy Policy which can be found on the club website. Your data will be stored and used in accordance with this Policy. The Club may wish to publish a membership directory. This would include member s (or in the case of a family membership the lead family member s) name, addresses, phone/mobile number, postal addresses, boat type and sail number, dinghy park location and will be available to all members, in either electronic or paper versions. If you consent to your data being shared in this way, please tick here. Please be aware that if you later decide to withdraw your consent it will not be possible to remove your contact details from printed material until the next edition of the directory is printed, which will be at least annually. The Club may arrange for photographs or videos to be taken of Club activities and published on our website or social media channels to promote the Club. Consent to the Junior member joining the Club and partaking in water sports. 2. Confirm that the Junior member can swim at least 25 metres. 3. Undertake to provide a life jacket for ALL members and instruct them in its use. 4. Undertake to be responsible for the Junior member s behavior and adherence to Club rules. 5. Acknowledge that the Club cannot exercise supervision or control over the Junior member which remains the responsibility of the parents or guardians. 6. Acknowledge that water sports bear an element of risk and that neither the Club nor its Officers, members of Employees shall under any liability to the Junior member for any injury, damage or loss suffered during participation in such activities. 5 Membership will be conditional on your application being approved by the Club s Committee which meets at the beginning of each month and the receipt of the correct fee. All new members will be expected to undergo an induction with the Commodore or Vice Commodore before receiving full details of the club access codes. Payment can be sent with the application if you so choose and will be refunded in full the highly unlikely event that your application is declined.
