3 WELCOME This is the annual report for the 2015 season of Nacton Cricket Club was a far more sucessful season than The Saturday team playing in Division 5 of the Two Counties Cricket Championship finished in a respectible 6th which was the highest the club has achieved in this league and it is hoped that promotion to Division 4 can be made in The Sunday side had a frustrating CONTENTS season with both weather and team withdrawals from the Suffolk Cricket Alliance Section C. Despite this the team managed to end up runners-up to Castle and will now play in Section B in The club toured to Norfolk, our first tour for many years, which only got one game in against Ketteringham Hall CC and other matches cancelled due to poor weather. Well played all. 5 Chairman s Statement 2015 Mr Ellis G Baker The 2015 season was a successful one on the playing front. The Saturday team finished in a respectable position in a very competitive division and the Sunday team were runners up in Section C which was sadly a depleted league. Selection was easier this year due to an influx of new members namely Chris Baum, Marcus Webb, Craig Oxborrow, Sahan, Zee, Dan, Zulfi, and Sampath (The Coach). Welcome to all of you! Deserved credit goes to Jonathan Warner and Lewis Rush for the team selections. Do we always cater for members who are not on Facebook? Well done to Ben Glading, Jonathan Warner, John Bafico, Corey Stockwell and Ben Connelly who formed the backbone of the Saturday team. Warren Cutting (congratulations re-hatrick) and Lewis Rush played most of the Sunday games. Ben Glading (3 centuries) was the club s outstanding batsman and Alex Brunt, John Bafico, Dan Wijerathna, Corey Stockwell, Jack Coomber and Peregrine Bush were the bowling stars on Saturdays. Warren Cutting, Zulfi and Salman bowled well on Sundays. James Taylor scored a century against Worlingworth. Thanks to John Bafico for printing and supplying the fixture cards and also his watering duties. Clive Nunn and David Simmonds and have contributed throughout the season to the up keep of the square. The covers once again proved to be invaluable and saved several matches. Thanks also to Zee for his irrigation hose sponsorship also to Clive Nunn, Peregrine Bush, Jonathan Warner and David Simmonds for their help re end of season work on the square (a few more bodies next year please).. Yet again Clive Ralph has done a great job in his role as treasurer and Clive Nunn has controlled the fixtures admirably. Peregrine Bush has maintained a superb web site with some amazing stats and photographs Mark Adams has kept us in order at various meetings and helped me organise the annual dinner. Thanks to Robert Warner for his on-going help with repairs and cutting the outfield. The race night was a great success and well supported. Thanks to Zee for the curry and Mark Adams, Mark Horsfield, Alex Brunt and MC Lewis for their contributions. Good to see 64 people attending the annual dinner and presentation evening. The standard of teas this year was superb thanks to Marty 2 teas Pilborough for organising the rota. We have two major projects to complete before the start of next season namely the scorebox and veranda extension. Nacton Cricket Club

I have carried out the procedures requested by the Audit Committee, supplemented by additional procedures that I considered necessary. This does not constitute an audit in accordance with UK auditing standards or the UK Companies Acts. I can confirm that: - the accounts have been properly prepared in accordance with the accounting policies; - the accounting policies have been consistently applied; - adequate disclosures of material issues have been made in the accounts; - the accounts have been correctly extracted from the underlying books and records; and - no other material issues have been identified that would, in my opinion, require the accounts to be adjusted.
