3 I. COMPOSITION OF A FORTNITE TEAM A. Players Players People of a team registered as player for the competition. Each player can play for an only one team during the entire competition. Only registered players can compete in the tournament. Substitute player Player with the ability to play tournament games if he substitutes a teammate. One person with an «accompagnateur» ticket can be designated as substitute. The identity of the substitute has to be communicated to administrators before the beginning of the tournament. If a team cannot regroup 4 registrated players, the team cannot play the game and can receive a penalty. Every single player has to be connected on the official Discord of the tournament, communicated by an administrator. Every single player has to be physically present at the DreamHack Tours and to play tournament games from the area given to the team. B. Captain The captain is one of the player, he is the link between the organizer, administrators and his team before, during and after the event. The team choose its captain and give its contact details to the organizer. The captain has to be a player who will not be streaming during the entire tournament. If the team cannot meet this condition, its members have to contact an administrator when they arrive at the event and before the start of the tournament. The team s captain must have the squad lead in-game. This means he has to be a player. The captain will have to be available and join the dedicated channel on the official Discord when asked by administrators prior to the start of the game. At the arrival, the organizer gives the team badges to the captain. C. People designated accompagnateur A person coming with the team but who will not be participating directly in the tournament. They cannot play the games, except for the substitute. Accompagnateurs are subject to the same rules than players. If the behavior of an accompagnateur is not considerate fair-play by an administrator, he can be banned from the players area. An accompagnateur cannot be designated captain of the team.

4 II. TOURNAMENT Each game has to be launch with the tournament code communicated by the administrator to the team captain on the dedicated channel on the official Discord. Each stage of tournament is played in BR n n being the number of game that will be played during the stage. Teams gain points for each game. The final ranking of the stage will be defined by the total of points earned during the stage. The number of points is reset to zero after each stage. Points are calculated with the addition of: Points of ranking the final rank of each game provides points. Points of kill The number of player eliminated provides points. A player is considerate eliminated by another when the system of the game gives the kill to the player. In case of equality in points, the number of Top 1 made during the stage will be used to separate the teams. If the equality remains, the number of kills will be compared, then the number of Top 2, then the number of Top 3, until Top 12. In case of perfect equality after all these comparisons, administrators will decide of the best way to separate the teams. Points allocation in a 12 teams game Top 1: 230 points 2 nd : 170 points 3 rd : 130 points 4 th : 100 points 5 th : 90 points 6 th : 80 points 7 th : 70 points 8 th : 60 points 9 th : 50 points 10 th : 40 points 11 th : 30 points 12 th : 20 points Points per kill: 10

5 III. FORMAT 48 teams compete in the tournament. Stage 1: Qualification Stage BR6 In this stage, the 48 teams will be spread into 4 games (A, B, C and D) and will play 6 matches in a row. The game composition will change at every match. Compositions of the first match is decided by administrators. Compositions of matches 2 to 6 will depend of the result of the previous match. For example, the composition of the match 2 games will depend of match 1 results, and composition of match 5 games will only depend of the match 4 results. After the 6 matches, a ranking is defined with the point system used. Split in 2 Tournaments The first 24 teams of the Qualification Stage s ranking will join the Tournoi Elite. The last 24 teams of the Qualification Stage s ranking will join the Tournoi Amateur. The 2 tournaments have exactly the same format and will be played in the same time. There is one title per tournament: - Winner of the DreamHack Tours 2018 s Fortnite Tournament - Winner of the DreamHack Tours 2018 s Fortnite Amateur Tournament Stage 2: Semifinals BR6 The 24 teams of each tournament will be spread in 2 semifinals depending of their previous ranking. 12 teams, all in the same games, will compete in each semifinal. Each semifinal is played in 6 matches. After the 6 matches, a ranking is defined with the point system used. Split between Grand and Small Final The first 6 teams of each 2 of the semifinals are qualified for the Grand Final. The last 6 teams of each 2 of the semifinals are qualified to the Small Final.

6 Stage 3: Grand Final BR6 The 12 teams qualified for the Grand Final will compete over 6 matches. Each game is played with the 12 teams. After the 6 matches, a ranking is defined with the point system used. Stage 3 bis: Small Final BR6 The 12 teams qualified for the Small Final will compete over 6 matches. Each game is played with the 12 teams. The Small Final is played in same time than the Grand Final. After the 6 matches, a ranking is defined with the point system used. Tournaments ranking For the 2 tournaments, Elite and Amateur, the final ranking is made by the one of the Grand Final for the ranks 1 to 12, and then by the one of the Small Final for the ranks 13 to 24. For example, the 4 th of the Grand Final will finish 4 th of the tournament, and the 7 th of the Small Final will finish 19 th of the tournament.

7 IV. TIME Except if specified, times and hours given by administrators are CEST. Timing communicated on the planning has to be respected. If administrators decide to change the timings, this decision will have priority over the planning. If a captain is late on the dedicated channel of the official Discord, or if a team is late to join the matchmaking once the tournament code has been given by an administrator, the game can be launch without the team and the team would receive a penalty. V. MATCHES Any behavior considerate as non fair-play by administrators from a player, a team or an accompagnateur can lead to sanctions for the person or team involved. A. Before the game Players have to be ready to play at the time given by an administrator to a team member. Each player is responsible for spreading the information among his teammates. The tournament will not wait for the end of a game not organized by administrators to continue the tournament. The team captain will receive on Discord in the dedicated channel a tournament code to allow his team to join the game. Communicating the tournament code to anyone can lead to sanctions and even to the team disqualification. Players have to remain attentive to administrators in the room in order to be reactive to information that could be given before the bus leaves. B. During the game Players, alive or eliminated, have to remain in front of their screen and cannot try to obtain information about other teams as long as one of their player is still alive. A team cannot help another one (during a match or not) by giving information about another team. Players have to take a screenshot of their score at the end of each game to be able to prove their rank and number of kills in case of problem. Players have to keep their replays as well until the final ranking of the stage is validated by an administrator.

8 If a player got disconnected from a game or got a bug, he will be subject to the same rules as an eliminated player. A game will not be restarted for a player disconnection or bug and his team will have to continue without him. The player who got the problem can communicate it to administrators. Players cannot open the stream of another team which is in the same game until it is over. C. After a game After the elimination of a team, one of its player will have to come to the dedicated channel of the official Discord to communicate the final rank and total number of kill of its team. He will give the administrator the screenshots if asked. Players will have to carefully remember the announced time for the next game, in order to be in time. VI. OFFICIAL DISCORD Every single player will have to use the official Discord, communicated by administrators. From the preparation to the elimination of the last team of a game, players have to remain connected to the Discord to make the communication easier. More details about the Discord will be communicated through . Please remain attentive about it. VII. GENERAL The nullity of one point of the rules does not lead to the nullity of the entire document. Administrators have right to modify the rules if necessary in order to continue the competition in the best conditions. Points added by the administrators during the captains briefing are to be considerate as part of the rules. Each player is responsible for its equipment and for its proper functioning.
