I am pleased to be offering 4 stud rams, 25 performance recorded rams, 25 flock rams, and 6 elite stud ewes.

4 CURLEW VALLEY SUFFOLKS Since it s humble beginnings 13 years ago, I believe Curlew Valley Suffolks, has come a long way, to produce stock that produce fast growing, easy doing lambs with excellent carcass qualities. Lambs that will suit the sucker lamb trade, but also capable of performing exceptionally well across stubble grazing or feedlot finishing. I am pleased to be offering 4 stud rams, 25 performance recorded rams, 25 flock rams, and 6 elite stud ewes. Bowen 270 has had a significant influence on the sale team, putting a considerable amount of punch into their carcasses. Curlew Valley 20950, has also sired a large portion of rams. He has incredible growth and length while maintains a solid carcass which has carried through to his sons. Burwood who was reserve champion at the Adelaide Show in 2011, and later sold for $8600 has also left an impressively solid line up with growth and muscly sons. The 4 stud rams being offered are all sons of CV20950 (aka Walker), and are expressing rapid growth with terrific eye muscle scans. Walker s sire is Allendale His grandsire on his dam s sire is Stratford 5026 (Lachlan Lad) who was Grand Champion Suffolk Ram at the RAH in stud ewes, sired by Burwood and Curlew Valley 20950, is an exciting opportunity to purchase some of Curlew Valley s leading genetics. These ewes are from my show team (not all have been shown) and are a beautiful example of Suffolk ewes. They have great carcass traits, yet very maternal and feminine. Stock was shorn in later July, and mid August. On 22/8/2015 they were drenched with Triguard and Also received a Glanvac 6in1 with B12S. They have a full vaccination history and have also had a Guidar vaccine. The flock has an OJD status of MN1 V, with all stock being vaccinated for the past 8 years. They are Brucellosis accredited free. With a wide selection of rams on offer, I trust you find rams that match your breeding criteria. 5 BELMONT SUFFOLKS & BORDER LEICESTERS We are pleased to offer 27 Suffolk Rams, 8 Suffolk ewes, and 16 Border Leicester Flock Rams in this sale, with co-vendor Rachel Chirgwin of Curlew Valley Stud. The ewe base for our Belmont Suffolk Stud, came from Stratford together with 4 ewes from the Southrose, and 2 ewes from Burwood studs. A highlight of our offering this year is an exceptional pedigreed stud ram from a Burwood stud ewe purchased for $1600 and sired by the 2013 Sydney Royal Reserve Champion Ram, from the Bowen stud at Millthorpe, NSW. He is offered as our 2015 drop of lambs are by an ET half-brother. The majority of rams on offer for sale are by the Bowen ram with a further 5-6 by a Telpara ram purchased in Belmont Border Leicesters were founded in A stud ram, purchased in October 2013 from Coolawang at Mundulla, is the sire of this year s offering. Belmont Border Leicester Flock rams used over our Merino ewes in this past season, have resulted in a very pleasing lambing result of 134%! (all ewes counted). Once again, BELMONT sired Border Leicester/Merino ewe lambs consistently made top prices at the annual Mount Pleasant Off-Shears sale in November last year.
