1 Volume 15, Issue 6 GWRRA Texas - Region H - Marshall, TX June, 2015 Chapter I meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Jalapeno Tree in Longview 508 North Eastman Road (Hwy 80 at Hwy 259) on the east side of Longview We eat at 6 and Meet at 7 pm Everyone is Invited! Come see what we re up to! East Texas certainly received enough rain in May. We did find a few nice days to ride, but we spent a lot of days just watching it rain. June is starting out much better and hopefully, we will have a nice weekend for the June 27th Birthday Rally. 4 Mudbug Rally DeRidder, LA Chapter M May 16 4 couples represented Chapter I at theis rally in Louisiana: Barbara and Joe Milton, Bill and Libby Parrish, Bill and Yvette Jirka, and Daryl and Kathi Dunham. Weather forecast was for afternoon rain, so we took the cars but stayed dry down and back. Played some games, won some prizes, had great food and enjoyed the Cajun hospitality.

6 The Mudbug Rally had some fun games and serious food. Mike was studying the crawfish napkin holder.

7 Moosehead Cafe 3 Trikes and a Bike Bill and Yvette, Mike and Robin, Gary and Pat, and Daryl and Kathi took a great ride down to Crockett for lunch at the famous Moosehead Café on May 23rd

9 The Brushy Creek Campout was a bit damp. We met for breakfast at nearby Arnold s on Saturday morning. It was a good thing that we weren t in a hurry because we overwhelmed the cook (who was recovering from some injury I think). We weren t able to get the famous pancakes-shaped-like-texas Breakfast Ride to Arnold s in Lone Star

10 Rusk County Fly In 2 bikes and 2 trikes ventured down to the Ruck County Airport for a free fly-in on June 6. Besides some nicely restored vintage planes they had paratroopers and formation flying. Of course they had plenty of food too.

11 Rusk County Fly In The 2015 Couples of the Year were recognized on-stage. Thanks Bill and Yvette Jirka. Daryl & Kathi Dunham were asked to help judge the Texas District Couple of the Year competition. (2014 couples competing)

16 Information about Our Group Rides If we are coming to your town and you would like to meet up with us, give the Road Captain or Chapter Director a call. As a courtesy to all members, it is important to be ready to leave at the departure time. All bikes should be fueled and bladders emptied ahead of time! On long rides, we will have a planned fuel stop. We will plan a variety of rides. We hope this variety will give you an opportunity to pick and choose. If the weather is bad come on in your car. If you have a CB, you will find us on Channel 1. UP! ALL RIDE TIMES ARE KICK STANDS
