Committed to the continued development of international rowing talent, Leander currently delivers half of Team GB. As Leander tells the enthralling stories of these talented athletes, organisations have a unique opportunity to engage with them at a series of entertaining and inspiring hospitality events.

3 Meet the Athletes John Inverdale in conversation with Leander s current GB men Leander Club Thursday 18th February 2016 John Inverdale will be a presenter for the BBC coverage of the 2016 Olympics. He is one of Britain s leading sports presenters, having worked on just about every major event from Olympic Games to Wimbledon and from the Ryder Cup to the GrandNational. In 1997, John was named Broadcaster of the Year at the Sony Awards, and in 1998 Radio Personality of the Year by the Variety Club. He has also been a regular presenter on BBC Radio 2. These Meet the Athletes evenings at Leander provide a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with the club s current GB athletes and we are delighted to welcome award-winning broadcaster, John Inverdale to our February event. A delicious dinner at Leander, prepared by the club s acclaimed chef, Scott MacRae and his team, will be followed by a conversation between John Inverdale and Leander s male Olympic-hopeful medallists. 6.30pm Drinks reception 7.15pm Dinner served with selected house wines. 4 Meet the Athletes Clare Balding in conversation with Leander s current GB women Leander Club Thursday 19th May 2016 Clare Balding is one of Britain s leading broadcasters, having won the BAFTA Special Award and RTS Presenter of the Year Award for her expert coverage of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Clare has worked in radio since she left university in 1994, and has been presenting sports on television since becoming the face of the BBC s racing output in Since then, she has worked on five Olympic Games, four Paralympics and three Winter Olympics, and has presented racing for the BBC and Channel 4. The second of our 2016 Meet the Athletes evenings at Leander Club turns the spotlight on Leander s GB women. As parity between men and women in the sport becomes the norm at the Olympics by 2020, Leander s women show great promise for Rio. On this occasion, we are delighted to welcome Clare Balding who has become synonymous with Olympic Games broadcasting. Clare will facilitate an after dinner conversation focused primarily on Leander s Olympic-hopeful women medallists. 5 Together at the Finish Join Leander s recent past Olympians at the club during the Olympic Rowing Finals Leander Club Wednesday 10th Saturday 13th August 2016 Join us at Leander for the Olympic rowing finals, where corporate guests will mingle with club members and athletes past and present. Guests will share the excitement, viewed on large screens in the clubhouse, as the final rowing events unfold. Leander athletes make up half of Team GB and are predicted to be in most of the Finals over the four days. The atmosphere will be electric as live TV links with Rio, anchored at the club by one of Leander s legends, provide added interest. PROGRAMME: 11am Olympic Rowing Finals start. Members and guests arrive at Leander Club. Coffee served with Danish pastries. 1pm Buffet Luncheon with house wines Departure at leisure after the rowing finals Tickets to include buffet lunch: 175 per person + VAT

6 Celebrate the Journey Join Leander s Olympic Athletes, members and the great and good of British Rowing Guildhall City of London Wednesday 12th October 2016 Guildhall has been the City powerhouse since the twelfth century. In an era when the Lord Mayor of London rivalled the monarch for influence and prestige, this was where he and the ruling merchant class held court and fine-tuned the laws and trading regulations that helped create London s wealth. Today, 800 years on, Guildhall is still home of the City of London Corporation, and acts as a grand setting for glittering banquets in honour of visiting Heads of State and other dignitaries, royal occasions, and receptions for major historical anniversaries. Where better to celebrate Leander s anticipated Olympic successes than at the glittering Guildhall? Sir Steve Redgrave CBE will lead the evening s celebrations by introducing each of Leander s GB athletes and coaches before they are seated to dinner with members, club partners and the great and good of British rowing.
