14 GENERAL INFORMATION Gates Open at 10:00am Wristbands & Proof of Age Proof of age wristbands will be required for all patrons between the ages of 18 and 25 purchasing alcohol at the bars. Wrist banding venues will be at the Entry Gates and the Information Hut. Proof of Age ID must be presented. Presentation of misleading identification is an offence and offending patrons will be removed from the course. Patrons must be 18 years of age or older to purchase alcohol. Alcohol must not be purchased for or on behalf of underage patrons. Wristbands are to be applied securely to the wrist only and must be worn at all times. Lost Tickets Will only be replaced upon proof of purchase and at the discretion of the committee. Bus schedules Public buses commence at 11am departing from the Post Office, South Library, Information Centre Blende Street & ANZ Bank in Argent Street and running continuously via Argent, Silver, Buck Streets & Racecourse Road. Buses will return alternately via William & Oxide Street, or William, Bromide, Argent Streets stopping at the Visitor Information Centre, Post Office and ANZ Bank for the continuous circuit. Fares $5 each way. Buses Public buses will be running to and from the racecourse throughout the day Taxis A drop-off and pickup point is located adjacent to the stables at the top of the main car park. Car Parking / Disabled Patrons $5 car parking fee for all parked vehicles. Disabled parking is available at the northern end of the main car park. There is no charge for vehicles dropping patrons at the drop-off zone. Telephones There are no public phones on course. If, in an emergency, a phone is required, please inquire at the Administration Office. EFTPOS Eftpos facilities are available at the Ticket Hut adjacent to the Betting Ring. Race books Race books are on sale at the Ticket Hut. Souvenirs A range of merchandise is available from the Souvenir Hut located adjacent to the Ticket Hut & Betting Ring. Information Information, venue maps & lost property inquiries are available from the Souvenir Hut. First Aid St John s personnel are available for patrons requiring first aid treatment on course. Lost Property Please inquire at the Information Booth near the Betting Ring. Toilets / Disabled toilets There are four toilet blocks located around the racecourse. Three ablution blocks all with Male/ Female/Disabled Access are situated near the Betting Ring, at the rear of The Shed and the northern end of the Derby Stand. An additional Ladies Toilet block is situated at the northern end of the Food Court. Responsible Service of Alcohol The Broken Hill St Patrick s Race Club is committed to the responsible service of alcohol for the enjoyment of all race day patrons. All liquor license laws will be enforced across the racecourse and failure to comply with these laws will result in the removal of offending patrons. The law prohibits alcohol from being taken through the gates or being removed from the course at the conclusion of the day. Persons showing signs of intoxication will be refused entry. If you are asked to leave and refuse you may face a fine of $550.
