2 Columbus Clippers Game Information This Date in Clipper History /7/979 Bobby Brown, a native of Norfolk, VA, went x with a home run and RBI to lead the Clippers to a 9 win over his hometown team, the Tidewater Tides. Brown went on to win the International League MVP that season, the first of eight MVPs for the Columbus Clippers.
