From the Director David H. Hello TV HOG Chapter Members It s hard to believe that the year is half over and the end of 2017 is coming fast upon us. We have had great rides, fun times and many memories to last a life time. Some of our rides I will never forget and they will stay etched in my memory forever. I want to thank our Road Captains and our Members for all the fun that there was on our local rides. Our LDR s have been exciting, fantastic and memorable rides as always! There is Couer d Alene, Idaho scheduled for July for two weeks of riding, site seeing and fun in the sun. After that off to Paso Robles to the wine country and then let s not forget our famous Mystery Ride in November. Who knows if we might even have something else planned in between those rides for another LDR-we will see. Our summer is filled with events, such as, our annual HOG Birthday Bash celebration at the Storm Stadium on 7/2 which is always a fun time to look forward to. There will be a ride to kick off the event and then there will be an All you can eat BBQ with prizes and a baseball game to follow. Another event will be our annual picnic to look for with lots of fun and laughs to be had. Also, we will have a Motorcycle Rodeo on 9/9 at the dealership. The rodeo will be promoted with an invitation presented to other chapters. We will challenge them to participate in the rodeo and to enter their best members in the skills events. I m looking forward to having our name engraved on the trophy as the winners of the Motorcycle Rodeo that will be displayed in the dealership. Let s not forget our BBQ s at the dealership on the 1st and 4th Saturdays of every month. It is a great time to see other members, support our dealer and simply just have some laughs and good food. I am excited about our first Chapter Poker Chip and our members involvement in creating the design of the chip. I hope we can have some great ideas for it and look forward to many entries that will be submitted. Let s enjoy our summer rides and events together.
From the Assistant Director Tom F. Hi everyone, summer is fast approaching with all of its beautiful riding weather. I have already sunburned my arms a couple of times because of leaving with out some sunscreen on. It s hot weather so there are some things you can do to make your rides more enjoyable. We all know about cool vest, water sprayers and such, but how many of you have used talc powder to keep that hot seat from irritating your backside on a hot day? It works as well using it on the rest of your body to keep the chaffing down. Take care of yourself also, as you should drink plenty of water days before riding so you fight dehydration. There is also the heat shields to keep that rear cylinder from cooking your legs, and the mesh seat pads to cool where you sit down. You can help out your bike to run a little cooler too, as you can run heavier weight oil, keep it in tune and having the right download in for the exhaust or that fancy air cleaner you just installed. Every little bit helps. Leaving in the morning or coming back later at night also will avoid the hot time of the day. I always enjoy night rides anyway. Picking a place to go always makes a difference about temperatures going toward the mountains or that favorite place at the coast makes life more fun too. Sheri has set up some cool rides and if you know of a great place you like come to an Activities Meeting or send an to her about it, we are always looking for new adventures to enjoy. Each one of you be careful out there
From the Treasurer David R. Wow! I can t believe how fast this year is going with our many successful chapter events and then heading right into our summer activities. I want to thank everyone for supporting Temecula Valley Harley and making this one of the greatest Harley chapters with an awesome group of people and fantastic rides. There is not much else going on, except to report the good news that our chapter is doing very well financial with your fantastic support in the first 6 months of This just helps us to continue planning additional great events with our Storm Stadium Birthday party in July, Christmas Party, and many other activities and enjoy the benefits of our chapter. Our Road Captains are finding new roads, breath taking views and destinations for scenic routes which is our motto of Lets Ride and Have Fun. Remember to stay connected with the HOG events App, Website and Facebook to check out upcoming activities coming up in the 3 rd quarter and enjoy the camaraderie of our chapter. Thanks to all and Ride Safe! From Activities Sherri H. Hello Temecula Valley Hog Members, Hope you all are enjoying your summer! Sure is starting off HOT! I'm looking forward to some great rides this summer with everyone. We have lots to choose from. Wednesday rides, Saturday rides, a few more LDR's and even a few evening rides. So let's get out there and ride! Lots of fun and memories to be made! Debbie and I are busy working on our upcoming chapter Birthday Party that we will have at the Storm Stadium on July 2nd, as well as our up coming annual Picnic the end of September. Lots of fun in store. Details to follow soon. Please save the date for our annual Christmas Party. I have booked it for Saturday December 2nd. More information to follow about all the fun we will have for that night. Hope to see you all soon! Until then ride safe.

From the Safety Officer Micah O. In Case of Emergency... One safety tip that can be the difference between life and death is having the right information available when it is needed. Keeping important medical and emergency information on you and/or your bike can help road captains, first responders, etc. should- God forbid- a medical emergency present itself. Temecula Valley HOG provides a comprehensive form that is easy to fill out on the website. Just visit and click on the Safety button. On the Safety page, click and download the Emergency info sheet. Fill it out and print a couple copies. Keep one copy on you and the other in the bike! Stay safe my friends.
From the LOH Officer - Jacque G. Ladies of Harley held their 2nd annual fashion show on April 22nd allowing our ladies to strut their stuff in stylish Harley Davidson clothing. What an awesome job supporting some big smiles and great pictures. The April meeting was a blast playing the game Left-Right-Center. With all the cheering and laughter we could be heard for blocks! Our May meeting was hosted by Alicia T at Famous Dave's BBQ. Alicia kept us busy with a Memorial Day word search game. Available were LOH baseball caps, which were a big hit and sold out quickly. On June 9th we held our LOH night at the Lake Elsinore Storm game. Family, friends and yes even grandchildren attended to end the evening with a fabulous fireworks display. June 15th our ladies came out to show off some talent at our Paint & Sip get together. What fun this evening was! enjoying some hors d'oeuvres as we had the opportunity to paint a motorcycle (or two) with some beautiful backgrounds. You can guarantee the piggy (bank) will be passed around at each event to collect change. This fund will be used to help purchase and provide toys for children at Christmas. What an amazing group of ladies. Thank you to all those who participate and help support Temecula Ladies of Harley.
