How about this heat?? Hope those of you who have been looking for a hot Summer are enjoying it. Personally, it can go now; I m ready for the cool and pleasant days of Autumn... As I write this our February rally is under a cloud due to the very high temperatures we are predicted for the upcoming weekend we are contemplating cancelling the rally. Stay tuned to s and Facebook as we will make a final decision a little later in the week. Fingers crossed the predicted forecast changes as the week progresses. We have been bust progressing with the planning for our April Horse Trials judges have been booked, other services have been contacted and securing them is in the wind. We have secured a Major Sponsor the wonderful Kim Anning from The Saddlery Shop in Seville is sponsoring some lovely embroidered rugs for our Section Winners, and she is also providing Saddle Blankets for the second placegetters in each section. This is a very generous sponsorship package and we are honoured to have The Saddlery Shop on board with us. Please keep this business in mind when you are looking for gear for your precious ponies the service is friendly, the prices are competitive and if it s not in store Kim is more than happy to order it in for you. 2 P A G E 2 I N S I D E H O O F P R I N T S T H I S M O N T H Well the new year has certainly gotten off to an extremely busy start for our Pres. Nicole is currently in the middle of her work placement for (I believe), the final part of her nursing degree. Forgive me if I m wrong. She was a beautiful bridesmaid at a friend s wedding on the weekend, AND she s also busy moving house as well needless to say, there is nothing officially from her so you ve got to put up with more of my dribble. So here goes: TOP TEAMS COMBINED TRAINING 15/TH MARCH This event is fast approaching, and we have made the decision to enter teams as we fill them. We have sent one team off already and we are hopeful of filling another one. As always with TTT events, providing a helper for the team is mandatory so please make sure you nominate someone on your entry form and we will pull one name out of a hat for each team. We have also nominated to ride on the Sunday and that way the teams can support each other in the true spirit of the HRCAV. WANDIN PARK HORSE TRIALS 13TH APRIL As you have all been informed by now, we didn t win our bid to host the TTTHT this year, but we felt hat as we had already secured a very elusive ok to hold the event, we decided to push ahead and run a Horse Trials. This has been strategically scheduled in a few weeks before the TTTHT, and from what has been written on FB and forums, will be quite well attended by riders wanting a final tune up before the Top Teams event. In order for this to be a success, and potentially earn quite a bit of money which we will be able to then channel back into the club by way of reduced rally fees, WE NEED THE COMMITMENT OF EACH AND EVERY CLUB MEMBER! Now, I am sorry to emphasise it like that, but it is of vital importance that we all put in there is nothing worse than attending a poorly run event and whilst the committee are 100% committed, we are counting on our members to be so as well.
